For me the WIFI fix is important when at home. Can turn off Data and connected to the WIFI whole day to receive whatsapp msg and push email. And also there's improvement in the camera from the update as well. smile.gif

disable some Background Task that you are not using such as Angry Bird Roost, Nokia Drive+ Beta, and etc
Lower the screen brightness will helps a lot. Our screen very power hungry.

Dude, for your knowledge IPS (In-Plane Switching) is another sub variant of TFT (Thin Film Transistor) LCD. I believe the cheaper TFT you mean is the TN (Twisted Nematic) TFT which is cheaper and older. Is just the arrangement of the TFT that are different. There are a lot more types of TFT LCD such as MVA, PVA, etc...
Another term for IPS TFT also known as Super TFT or Ultra Sharp TFT icon_rolleyes.gif

I flashed to Portico from other region myself on the first hour I got this phone. tongue.gif
Using for nearly 3 weeks so far no issue. I might want to flash it back to MY variant in future. I got keep few variant of firmware myself for backup since Nokia announced that they are closing the public access to their firmware soon...

Tried before for my bro's unit after refurbished. If you skip the account login the first time, then you won't be able to restore back unless you reset the phone to factory default again.
And there are some issue with those App list that you might encouter error retrieving them back. Alternative solution is to goto windows phone store website and from the Purchase History, you can Push the app back to phone.

Yea exactly! And also is stupid that you will only get that option to restore with new phone or hard reset.

Actually can say that there is no soft reset for this phone. The "Reset" from About is considered a hard reset because it will removed all your personal data. A soft reset is a reset that restore back to factory setting without clearing all your installed apps and data.
Holding power button for 10sec is just a way to simulate battery removal due to our phone battery is non-removable. It is quite confusing to call it soft reset for me....
Perhaps if you own a previous Nokia Symbian smartphone before then you will understand better...

i bought with credit card.... So far only got these 2 which is more feature packed, ProShot and CameraPro. But CameraPro is quite buggy to me..

Yup, but proshot is not really stable, it crashed on me once when i was dragging the focus around, but so far it only happened just once.
Yup, i bought ProShot and CameraPro. More choices = better, CameraPro has a lot of modes and settings, i like it a lot.

You got updated your ProShot? The manual focus crash only happen for old version. Both got Pros and Cons, ProShot got manual Shutter setting while CameraPro do not.

Windows Phone do not support FM receiver although our Snapdragon S4 do have it integrated. Perhaps maybe in future update it might bring in the FM Radio functionality.

so far no complain about the phone itself. Only complain on the OS. I got 2 Lumia 920, one running PR1.0 and another running on PR1.1 Portico on the first day. Both also not encoutering random restart issue or those superior battery draining issue. One thing for sure, I don't simply install and uninstall apps to try out everything from the Store. Phone running on 3G Data connection for 24/7 with Whatsapp, WeChat, Push Emails...
Uninstalled Skype due to it doesn't have the option to let me set it offline and I noticed slightly higher power consumption with it.

as always.. Nokia deployment for their firmware update is as slow as hell. And the always delay and delay for months...
