what is the right mp3 format in order to work?

I just bought Lumia 920. I went to Celcom to get the new Micro-SIM for it. Why it show "local network operator" info on my screen?. Everything worked well including browsing internet its just the message seems kinda annoying. Is this a bug which could be fix with the upcoming update. FYI i already updated my Network+ and Access Point.

anyway, got rumours nokia come out tablet eh? lumia 1000 sounds so futuristic, maybe its a prototype name before they unveil the real retail name.

and older nokia's were 4 numbers; 3310 8210 8850 etc.

theres no free app that can play mkv. the paid ones got very bad reviews.

Better wait for OTA update. I flashed myself yesterday and need to dl all the apps again. My free games like Sonic CD and Super Monkey Ball gone.... Cannot find the app in store so cannot download. Microsoft very stupid can't even backup fully like iPhone. 

So best to wait for the portico update next month? I downloaded the firmware... but thinking twice on flashing it...

Your opinion? I also heard some people mention that maxis ones with portico. How to tell the diff?

depends on your usage la. i got mine with normal whatsapp, browsing news, sms, 10-15 calls about 5 minutes each, the phone can last from morning until my sleep time.

these days smartphones are power hungry. its ironic that most of the people that complain/critic lumias short battery life, they themselves carry a brick of a battery pack for their own android/iphone sets. 

Btw how about the microsoft word thingy?

Overall, feels its a lousy phone:

Cons:
- Battery life is very, very weak. Continuous usage of the phone gets me 2 hours plus of usage before it dies. I had 3 Lumia 920s, all act the same way.
- The stupid thing about the phone is that when charging, using any application will negate any charging and use up more juice than what is being charged! I face this with all so called windows 8 optimized apps.
- The phone heats itself up very, very hot with maybe a continuous usage of 10 minutes or less till I have to put it down for a while.
- I feel most of the applications (WeChat, Skype, Whatsapp) launches rather slowly, especially Microsoft's own Skype which takes a very long time to launch or even resume!

Yes, I tried everything:
- Hard resetting each of the phones
- No background apps activated
- Everything off (Wifi, NFC, Location, Bluetooth, etc)
- Only Windows 8 phone apps downloaded
- 4 Live tiles active (I removed everything else)

Its impossible getting 1-2 days of usage unless you do not ever do anything on your phone.

I had 3 different separate Lumia 920s and I can attest to it that they do not last so long.

I uninstalled everything and just put on Whatsapp and it drains the battery like crazy. Microsoft's own Skype drains the battery like crazy on its own as well. Same goes to WeChat or any social application.

Social Applications -

I tested it again:
- Continuous usage of Whatsapp alone lasts me < 3 hours
- Continuous usage of WeChat alone lasts me < 2 hours
- Continuous usage of Skype alone lasts me < 3 hours

The stupid thing is that all these are supposed to be normal applications for a Smartphone yet the phone, well, can't use them well.

Playing Guns 4 Hire, Dredd vs Zombies or even Robotek and your drains like water. This is without any applications active.

I don't use the usb charger as it will charge very slowly. I use the normal AC powered charger.

I notice this sometimes ...when I plug my headphones into the 920 jack and play music ...the sound is played externally rather than using my headphones...but when I remove the headphones and put it back again then no problems ....anyone faced a similar issue? It's a once in awhile thing ...I don't usually listen to music on my phone ...

I had 2 battery status apps installed. One was from Tomas which worked nicely before the latest updates. After the latest updates, the battery drain is significant and I have identified it as coming from Battery Status and the option to collect data for the statistics. Once I disabled that function, the battery drain is back to normal. But obviously this basically made the graphing capability useless because the app is not collecting any data. As the adage goes, don't fix something that is not broken.

Due to this problem, I installed Battery (another app) but I believe it was polling the battery status every minutes (as I enabled it to run in the background). Last nigh I fully charge the phone by 10:30PM and disconnected it from the charger. At 6AM this morning, I had 18% left. This has never happened before so off to the bin with the Battery app.

I wish Microsoft can just do the battery percentage thing like iOS ... is that so hard to do? I know you want to be different, but trying to be different for different sake is plain stupid.
