getting bored with my ics. should i root it?

Thanks waja for ur respond. Currently trying Paranoid ROm and so far very good. Very smooth on every aspect. I liked MIUI (used on my previous N1,NS and Desire HD) but the current MIUI for ION is not stable and not fully working. I got many error msgs here and there (I flashed twice).

Any good thing about Xperia NExus ? still ICS rite ?

after turn off phone, im trying to push and hold volume up button but nothing happen?
at the same time my phone connected to computer with USB cable, but not sony xperia usb cable. however my phone still charging? why it cant work?

After using this NeXus for more than a week, i can say nothing soo big about this rom...
Its just like stock, but with different Launchers, much more Debloated system, nothing much...

What i dont like about this rom is, the Launcher and theme is much more worst than stock,
currently now im using Xperia Z launcher....But this rom is mod-friendly, ive installed Cyber-Shot,
QcAE sound mod, JB Tab n' Grid, Seeder...All works fine, no FC's

But still i'd prefer XZXperience....I ran to this NeXus because XZX v2 is a bad dream for me...
Check at the dev thread about v2, they changed the internal storage and SD Card setting, make it worst...
But still XZX v1 is perfect...superb....

Maybe you do it the wrong way....Its like this :

- Disconnect phone from PC
- Turn off your phone
- Push and Hold Volume UP button
- While holding Volume Up button, Connect USB cable to PC, Done

Im not sure what youre talking about that USB cable, what i meant about USB Cable is,
the cable you received with the phone bro...Hope it helps...Any question just ask me here

Ive already editted the tutorial for more easier understanding

after install fastboot driver by downloading flashtool, im trying to reconnect in FASTBOOT mode but when I push and hold volume up button, connect my phone via USB, the Blue LED at notification just like for 5 seconds , then it will show sony icon and starting to show charging . Sorry this is my first attempt since Im really noob

by the way, i am using windows 8 , Is there any difference between driver?

Hurmm thats quite weird....Should be, once you connect your phone ( Off condition ) while hold Volume UP
button, then Blue LED shows up, release the button, done and proceed....

Im not sure about windows 8 but that can be one of the reason....Can try it on other system? Win7/XP

Slimbean 3.1 also quite good.

using Miui V5 now... not bad... easy and simple to use...

But the phone hang for a while during first flashing....

Now still in monitoring....

tried MIUI v5 before... not very stable.. I changed to SlimBean afte 1 day... so far very good. JB based slim (109MB) ROM

I tried to install Slim Bean first... but donno why... the flashing keep come with the error...

is there any changes should be made in the updater-script file bro?

i didnt do any editing on the script. just normal flash and make sure u clear cache on /data filesytem (beside the dalvik,cache etc)

that one I sure bro... but dont know lah... it state unable to update the package... both Slimbean and PureCynogen mode.... only Miui work at this moment....

is okay lah... as long as JB.... sony make me frustrated already...
