anyone place money plants inside before? I placed a few and i have no idea if they're still alive

I had algae on my plants. I tried to gently scrape them off from one of the leaves and after a few days the leaf totally died. :S thank god i didn't scrape ALL leaves. I don't know what to do anymore. T_T why are they on the plants but not the glass?

the last algae eater I have eat the eyeballs out of my other fishes D:!!! I can't get a picture cuz I don't have a dig camera I think I might just leave the plants that way cuz if i try anything to remove it they'll wilt and die.

Btw is there something call anti-algae? =_= my dad keep bugging me to buy it but i'm not sure if it exist or if it would harm my other fishes

I told the guy I wanted an otto i think he gave me a chinese algae eater =/ i returned it after seeing most of my fish have a missing eye and the fake otto is sucking on another poor fish. it was REALLY horrifying.
