QUOTE(kimimaro_kun @ Jan 10 2013, 02:16 PM) ejet is better. haha, yeah but you can also put it on the floor/ground/table but the short hose will be an issue if youre planning to hide it inside the cabinet which is really far below the tank level.for shiruba, you have to hang it at your tank plus ejet got a bigger space for your media filter QUOTE(jctasoga @ Jan 10 2013, 02:43 PM) Luqee : u first. I haven't rescaped yet. need to get a 50cm tank first to replace my plastic tank, already full of GSA on the front, and havent been trimmed more than a few months, just top-up water and a few days of fish feeding per week thats allderic79k bro, sorry, all ure RCS and their shrimplets died, maybe my pugnax eaten them in my tank |

QUOTE(qz4eva @ Jan 13 2013, 04:26 PM) Yea bro actually in Sungai Lembing. you know, since you got vast resource of stones nearby you,But you need to go inside about 30 mins by car to reach the site... i think you should make a scape using those rounded stones, and you can create a hakkai-type stones scape version but you need to make sure you got the same kind, colours & textures for every rounded stones youve collected... |

yup, they will look like that, but i find it takes time, im using 80% clorox, 20% water ratio to get that, and i need to shake the purigens inside a plastic bottle 2-3 times a day in interval to get all of them fully regenerate. It usually took me a week, unless im using an auto stirrer which can take up to 1 day only. Also, learnt it the hard way, too frequent in regenerating them will decrease their life usage. |

QUOTE(arrow @ Jan 16 2013, 01:00 PM) o just saw your reply, it suppose to took me 32hrs to regenerate it but i forgot about it and left it in clorox for 48hrs(24hrs more), now im abit curious about seachem prime.i think the KEY for it to regenerate fast is using "Seachem Prime", like your case after 48hrs soaking in clorox, there is still stains on the bag and some inside, then i dose 2 tablespoon Prime(around 30ml), after > 8hrs, all clear/clean like new.(refer picture). and i don't need to shake or rub or put it under running water. All the stains just dilute/disappear after final soaking with seachem prime. wonder what stuffs they put inside it. ive used a few types of anti-chlorine and i got different results haha. maybe next time ill try seachem prime then. |

QUOTE(qz4eva @ Jan 30 2013, 02:07 PM) Bro you wont want to put anything that is super-glued into your aquarium. bro, you know, i sticked my mosses on my driftwood using superglue last time, and they are growing nicely lol.. Do you know how many toxic chemicals is in those glue. also if im not mistaken, marine ppl use them too to stick their corals hehe, no offense |

QUOTE(qz4eva @ Jan 30 2013, 03:52 PM) Oh bro, im not sure if im using those aqua coral glue, coz those stuffs are expensive,Maybe yours is aquarium coral glue isit? I once use super glue for my diffuser and my fishes mati... Dun worry bro, none taken im usng these cheap ones, price less than RM2 per bottle, and when they are cured, they are solid as crystal, but when they are contact with water, they turned whitish, which affect the aesthetic look. ![]() |

QUOTE(jctasoga @ Feb 6 2013, 03:03 PM) using the purigen were superb! my water was a bit cloudy since day 1. i got the purigens yesterday and put abt 120ml into the canister.. this morning the water is super clear already... now you know why im soo hype with purigens.. to be honest, i wasn;t expecting this type of clarity. hope it doesn't affect the nitrates too much... you can guess what happen when you put twice more purigens, and double it with extra filtration and xtra DIY house water filter... QUOTE(EmilyEmily @ Feb 7 2013, 12:12 AM) what type if fish is this? alright for planted aquarium? bumble bee goby, can ask kimimaro-kun for his advice..he got both of them inside his planted tanks![]() |

is it normal for ottos to start eating carnivore fish pellets?
they already started eating them months ago and i havent been feeding them algae tablets nowadays, since they didnt touch any of those stuffs already. weird thing is , they still are plump, reddish belly and happy swimming around, no sign of starvation and death. |

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Feb 18 2013, 07:56 PM) Is it? I saw that today, looks expensive and good looks like the water is poisonous.. Btw, is it really silent? The 5W filter I just bought today is noisy like no tomorrow omg, somemore aquarium put in my room, cant's sleep for sure Currently this is my setup. Just added in 2 plants, dunno why my fish always float up near the plants, is this a good or bad sign? ![]() better do a partial waer change daily till the good bacta colony is established. IMHO, adding another xtra filter, a cannister filter will help it greatly(glad ure looking for another one) and ifgot extra cash to spare, investing in ADA Bacta Ball or Seachem Stability will aid as a catalyst to speed ure good bacta colony growth. Also, upgrading to a bigger tank with better filtration is much more advisable and will cost you less in the long run. QUOTE(syafiq_lomotech @ Feb 18 2013, 10:20 PM) can or not, good or not using rain water (fresh from the sky) to refill the tank? well technically you can, if you intent to save up ure money on buying those cheapy RM1.50 decholorinator and putting extra work on collecting those rainwater...but you cant be so sure the rainwater in youre place is hygenically clean ans safe for fish use. Unless you have extra water test kit, and you wiling to waste them on rainwater.. better buy those cheap anti-chlorine, or save up some money and buy those very good but concentrated and a bit tad expensive decholorinator. Or, you can use tap water that had been left over for a day/or put in air pump in them to make an anti-chlorine free freshwater. but seriously, if just buy the cheap ones if ure in a pinch, saves you a lot of troubles. QUOTE(-kytz- @ Feb 18 2013, 11:56 PM) Thanks. I also got some bio rings and a bottle of live bacteria? So, the person from the shop told me to add the bio rings at my hang on filter (just behind the filter). But how about the live bacteria? Should I pour it to my tank or to my bio ring there? Hope to get a quick answer QUOTE(arrow @ Feb 19 2013, 03:08 AM) Your tank is quite small for keeping gold fish, some more 5 of them, Goldfish are living dustbin, will eat anything eatable in your tank including plants. what sifu Arrow said is true.i'm currently using 5 Eheim hob and 3 canister , all super silent, but i do find some cheaper HOB quite ok, HDOM, Jeneca brand HOB noise lvl is quite low as well. http://www.eheim.asia/prod_eheim_filter_hangon.html Eheim not only silent but built to last. Your tank is not cycled yet, Water change your tank since is quite dirty as show in your picture, then dose those liquid bacteria into the tank everyday to speed up the tank cycling. A single Goldfish will need a bigger space to live in and very good filtration system for it to be healthy, and i had a baby goldfish the size of a 1cm(got it as a feeder fishes), it had grown into a 4.5" monster and produce lots of waste. Too bad it died due to stress/heavy bioload after adding another big fish in the tank. Yup and dose the good live bacta inside ure tank, and as well inside ure filter near the bio-rings daily. IF you have an extra air pump, adding them and turn them on will agitate the water surface and will make O2 easily available in the water itself, thus reducing the fishes stress and the gulping issues. just my 2cents, learned this all from the expert here |
