QUOTE(jctasoga @ Feb 6 2013, 03:03 PM) using the purigen were superb! my water was a bit cloudy since day 1. i got the purigens yesterday and put abt 120ml into the canister.. this morning the water is super clear already... now you know why im soo hype with purigens.. to be honest, i wasn;t expecting this type of clarity. hope it doesn't affect the nitrates too much... you can guess what happen when you put twice more purigens, and double it with extra filtration and xtra DIY house water filter... QUOTE(EmilyEmily @ Feb 7 2013, 12:12 AM) what type if fish is this? alright for planted aquarium? bumble bee goby, can ask kimimaro-kun for his advice..he got both of them inside his planted tanks![]() |

syafiq : that is right. neon can live in slightly higher ph (more alkaline water) but not until ph8 above (tats for saltwater). so there is trade off for rearing snails in the tank.
btw, wat type of snails u wan to keep? i think MTS or ramhorns are ok with the acidic water... only nerite snails could be problem with their shells... |

Beside MTS, Ramshorn , nerite , you all can try Rabbit snails (sulawesi snail), breed slow one to two at a time, so far they survive in my various tank range from ph6.4 to ph8. |
