haha..good morning. wakey, wakey.
have a question to ask. about 5436
very happy (but perplexed) about the climb this week. not familiar with the price movement
what will your input about this counter be? it just declared divvy and good Q profit.
is that a good reason enough for the jump? there's a really big gap there.
Yes, I believe the earnings came in much better than most people expected but the bigger surprise is the 20 sen dividend.have a question to ask. about 5436

They just paid 26.5 sen recently and to be paying another 20 sen, it's big bumper dividend from Perstima this calendar year.
Last calender year, they paid a total of 33.5 sen only.
Big jump in dividends.
So I think the huge gap up in the stock price is justifiable.
Yes, I am sure you will read, in terms of stock techinicals, that all gaps needs to be filled but there are gaps that will take much longer to fill.
Now I am not sure of the sustainability of the business ( I do not have a good grasp of their business ) and if you look at their recent fiscal years, their profitability can swing up and down quite drastically.
However, if judging on the stock technicals plus the set of good news (earnings+divi) , perhaps it might make sense to hold for the time being, at least go collect the dividends and then wait and see what happens after the stock goes ex-dividends.
Just my 3 sen nia.... ok?
