Just flashed Huntsman into my 3420 v1 and v2
Both modem can identify my E398 & E372 without any issues. Now left 3020, later will upgrade to Huntsman version Thanks to the developer, Dairyman |

QUOTE(maxcheam @ Apr 21 2013, 08:26 AM) I take back my words about not having any issues with Huntsman firmware. I did a few more tests yesterday and found out that if I'm using "Enabled with Restart" for Connection Keep Alive under Modem > Connection tab, the connection won't be kept alive if it's idle for too long. I'm not sure if it's telco specific but for Maxis, it's almost consistent. The only way to get back the connection is to either reboot the router or take out the modem and plug it back in. Thanks for the sharing...i do facing the same issue if i am using "Enabled with Restart" for Connection Keep AlivePerhaps Dairyman or Wahroonga Farm can check it out. All this while, I've been using "Enabled" without the restart because I have my own scheduled tasks to monitor the connection and restart if necessary. That's why I don't have much issue if the connection got stuck. May i know is it you use this command: * * * * * /bin/ping -q -s 1 -c 60 8.8.8.8 & > /dev/null as your own scheduled tasks to monitor the connection and restart if necessary? |

QUOTE(maxcheam @ Apr 21 2013, 08:40 AM) that command is to keep the connection alive by pinging Google DNS every minute but doesn't do anything else. i see...well, i will try to use the command and settings that you mention above and see what happen next.I'm using this: */5 * * * * /bin/ping -c 10 openwrt.org || reboot It will ping openwrt.org every 5 minutes with 10 tries and will run the reboot command if one or more out of the 10 pings failed. You can change the schedule to a shorter or longer time depending on your preference. I can't guarantee that it will fix the issue though 'cause we'll need more time to test it out. However, at least the logic of it make sense. To be honest, with the Huntsman's feature, i feel reluctant to use the AA version |

QUOTE(digilife @ Apr 21 2013, 08:57 AM) Enhance and also fix bugs (if bugs exits) Pity the dev... hope i can treat him 2 barrel of beer QUOTE(digilife @ Apr 20 2013, 02:04 PM) Now both my MR3420 V1 and 1043ND running on Huntsman 2013-04-14. My Asus RT N-16 is left out in the cold already Oh i see...well my Asus RT-N16 still serve as a strong AP (with DD-WRT)Stability 90% cause sometimes although connected, i get no internet activity ~ i believe is due to Maxis , even when i use usb modem direct plug-in laptop also like that. Not router FW's problem. Just need to wait a while, it will be back to normal without reset or turning off the power..............and IP changed after that............. Initially got intention to get a 1043ND and flash openwrt to it..but end up on hold, too many routers inside the house, later parents scold...haha This post has been edited by BladeRider88: Apr 21 2013, 09:02 AM |

QUOTE(maxcheam @ Apr 24 2013, 10:44 AM) here's my load average running on Huntsman 04-19 with MR3420 V1, loading the page from my office via Public IP: Care to share with me your cron settings? As i still having the same issue [attachmentid=3407421] I've been running this version happily ever since I found the manual fix for cron. I'll have to stick with this version as I still need the DDNS package. |
