Setup your streamyx modem as bridge mode and set MR3420 to dial PPPOE smile.gif

Else just PPPOE at modem and DHCP at MR3420

Hi anyone know how to edit this for me so that I can reset my MR3420 V2 from openwrt to TP-Link firmware?

QUOTE
Download firmware: http://www.tp-link.com/Resources/software/...0_V2_121206.zip (the filename contains "boot" & the size=4063744)
So
Cut the first 0x20200 (that is 131,584 = 257*512) Bytes from original firmware
Linux: dd if=orig.bin of=tplink.bin skip=257 bs=512 (source: http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wr1043nd )
Win: Hexedit will do.
Flash the stripped file (size=3932160)

OpenWRT is about to perform extra performance, stability

It won't show significant improvement on speed and etc. If you is someone who like to DIY go for it laugh.gif

OpenWRT just has more advanced functions than the stock firmware thumbup.gif It's up to your personal preference. icon_rolleyes.gif

I personally use the DNSMasq function in OpenWRT to access Hulu laugh.gif

I'm also now trying to use the Multiwan feature to load balance my Streamyx + USB 3G Internet...still haven't figured out how to use it sweat.gif

I would prefer 3G for OpenWRT thread smile.gif

Since after you got OpenWRT up and running, the steps are general nod.gif
