but barebone... huntsman cant be made to extroot.. not enough space.. needs to built from the ground up..

I have in my collection a few routers , MR3420, MR3220, TD-W8968, WR1043ND, Asus RT-N16, RT-N15U.

The ones in red on Factory FW does not support USB Modems , I believe some day in time custom FW will make them USB modem compatible. Asus RT-N16 and WR1043ND both have  Dual USB port but only one usb port at one time can connect to a usb modem, the other usb is for External storage.

If you really want to use dual usb at the same time to  load balance ( on different Telco ) go for Mikrotik.

Unless Dairyman come up with a dual USB Modem support  Custom FW for 1043ND  else, play with Mikrotik ~ but mind you dun use 2 sims of the same telco 

However with 1043ND power adaptor of 1.5A, i guess it will be under-power to run 2 USB modem at one go, BUT i am running my Asus RT-16N on a 2.0A power adaptor although the default is only 1.5A  ~ and the WiFi Signal is Superb 

like i said, qmi is for qualcomm chipset..

i dont know any other chipset that for usb modems..

for tablets i think nvidia uses icera for their baseband..
broadcom makes 3g radios also..

there are a lot of manufacturers for 3g chips..
so, diff companies, diff names..

Just register for maxis unlimited rm68. In router setting, which one should I take? Maxis_bb or Maxis_unet?

before that i try to flash my mr3420 v1 with this "openwrt-mr3420-v1-BW2013-04-13"

but direct from openwrt-ar71xx-generic-tl-mr3420-v1-squashfs-factory complete to new firmware without go through the stock firmware.
but the new firmware cant connect, then i flash back to the old openwrt
then try to flash to new  bw2013-04-13 again, but now i totally cant connect to 192.168.1.1

not sure any1 able to help me to solve the prob using the teamviewer??or any1 have this experience before?

Flashers ( modem and routers not human ) need to read the instructions before attempting any flashing.

The author already mentioned clearly the 30/30/30 reset before performing any cross FW upgrade, For system upgrade compatible image  to replace the running firmware upgrade like from Barrier Breaker > Huntsman , the 30/30/30 reset need not be perform. 

why is there still no support for MF680 on blackwidow rooter? requested for so long still not granted

Hey guys, what modem do u guys recomend to use with this router? Don't need LTE, just need like 28mbps sth one, budget is around 100-200, haha. Currently am using e355 by huawei, idk why when I start downloading, all other speed become very slow. Even cannot browse facebook anymore.

Just now, I've tested the internet speed at Forest Heights.
Danm slow bro.
The RSSI was around -95dBm and have tried at Taman Rashidah Utama.. I got ~5mbps with constant speed.

Do you think, by getting omni and panel antenna will  get for the better speed?

Hi all bros, i am facing some problem on my router.

Lately, I realise that there was no internet connection although the router status showed everthing is ok include IP address, subnet mask, default gateway and signal.

I plugged my modem to laptop, it works fine.

So, I reset and setup my router again. Then it is working fine.

This scenario had been occurred more than 3 times in a month.

I flashed latest firmware (3.13.1 Build 121123 Rel.57630n) after it happened on first time. However, this did not solved the problem.

Do you think this is router's problem? Anyone faced this before?

I tried my MR3420 V2 ( rm85 )  on first floor ( higher better signal ) and at the living room downstair i get abt 3Mbps ( up 5Mbps ) . It you have the $$ get a Asus RT N16 ( rm310 ) ~ you should get 4.5Mbps
