if it is just allowing the use of the reset/wps button behind a router then it is almost the same as the 5-27 release in forum. This 1 might have better stuff in store tongue.gif

going to flash it later

The Channel locking guide is re written with additional channel information:

http://ofmodemsandmen.com/locking.html

There will be another Huntsman release shortly which provides a feature to use only PPP to connect to the modem.

This will enable a number of 3G Huawei modems to connect properly. It limits the max throughput to 25Mbps, but all the other ROOter features are available.

So a nice little fall-back for some modems. It will primarily benefit Huawei modems

Try it.

MR3420 V2 - http://www.ofmodemsandmen.com/test/openwrt...M2013-06-02.bin

In the Modem->Connection page there is a new entry that says Force Modem to PPP Protocol

Note: This will solve the problem with the E3131 and E173 not working with NCM and should make the E353 work properly as well.

Forcing PPP will only benefit non 4g modems? or does it benefit modems like e392/e398 too?

edited: it seems like got TL-MR10U and TL-MR12U also. They say this 2 build looks almost the same and therefore they suspect only the battery capacity differs. 10u around 16usd and 13u around 40 usd on aliexpress.

A new rooter release is out and available now.

In a ROOter tradition, it is dated in the future, being Huntsman 2013-10-12.

There are 2 releases this time, one using OpenWRT R36486 like the last release and one using R38328. This was done to aid those that may have problems with a certain version.

If you have trouble with the older revision then try the newer one. The problem may have been solved in it. The features are exactly the same for both.

On the web site the older version is referred to as 'Yellow' and the new one as 'Red'. This corresponds to the header color in the download table.

Because of OpenWRT problems there is no 'Red' version of the firmware for the WNR3500L and the WDR4900. Problems with the upgrade to kernel 3.10 in OpenWRT for these routers.

Features in this release.

The big one is Scheduled Shutdown and Startup of the modem and the Wifi. This can be found under System->Scheduled Shutdown.

If the router supports it the modem power is shut off, otherwise the modem is put into low power mode. For the Wifi, you can choose to shut it off regardless if someone is connected or wait until no one is connected.

Wifi shutdown doesn't work for the WNR3500L quite yet.

The SIM PIN works correctly for QMI modems so this feature now works for all modems.

The MF825A automatic connection works as it is supposed to now.

Connection times are much faster now with the removal of the connection delay and Coltect's better waiting method.

So, try it out, beat it to death and see how it works.

The web site will be next up as it needs to be updated badly.

And that's how I usually do it.

Finally, the thing that makes me stop using huntsman and went back to blackwidow... smile.gif
