Already install Open Wrt for MR3420v2, can use my modem well. Is there anyway to make a schedule code to restart the modem daily?

QUOTE(schwalbe @ Feb 6 2013, 01:28 AM) Guys, i'm using TL-MR3420 v2 mated with Sierra 320U maxis unlimited. when I connect the modem directly to my laptop I get ~24Mbps, but with this router max I can get is 11Mbps, tried the enable Bandwith control trick, but didn't work, any ideas guys, thanks. QUOTE(ibnuasad @ Feb 6 2013, 01:56 PM) Firstly check your firmware version whether it's the latest one..if got new version, try upgrading... i have a weird idea abt it.. do u guys know how usb speed is rated at 1.5Mbps, 12Mbps, 480Mbps, and 5Gbps.http://www.tp-link.com.my/support/download...3420&version=V2 what if something is amiss with our usb driver on the router or our modem signalling itself as a usb 1.1 device, the speed would be limited to 12Mbps.. minus with bus overhead, it could well return 10~11Mbps.. how does my theory sound? |

evit, Paste the following code @ System > Scheduled Tasks
CODE * 12 * * * reboot The above code will reboot router everyday at 12pm. If you want to set a more specific time, can use Crontab Code Generator This post has been edited by ibnuasad: Feb 6 2013, 06:32 PM |

QUOTE(ibnuasad @ Feb 6 2013, 06:26 PM) Now that you've mentioned it, this may be plausible network delay is also plausible.. chuahcs79 always get >12Mbps.. i think its like 16Mbps avg for him... for me, other than network, i would say that our modem is signalling itself as a 12Mbps or Full Speed usb device, cause, if u notice, sometimes, the modem would do that even on a PC.. i think its got something to do with the CD-ROM emulator on the modems.. just my thoughts.. dont have the time to dug up evidence for my blabbering..But with my e353, I did 1.5 MBps briefly last night (a few short seconds...maybe Networx delay?) chuahcs79, did you ever get > 12 Mbps with MR3420 Stock or OpenWRT? |

QUOTE(hairul @ Feb 6 2013, 07:02 PM) yes i know its USB 2.0, but remember, every USB spec released, it needs to be backward-compatible.. even USB 1.0 device will still work with usb 3.0 port.. the difference is in the signalling, power delivery, etc.. QUOTE(chuahcs79 @ Feb 6 2013, 07:31 PM) yea it is USB2.0 but then they wonder that whether the openwrt firmware dialing them in usb2.0 or usb1.1 ? anyone have ssd external hdd? maybe they can test the real throughput.. so as to asses whats the problem.. since he never get more than 12Mbps,.. |
