MSI GP60-2OD-259MY, i5-4200M + Nvidia GT740M + (1920x1080; anti-glare)@RM2699, 4GB, 750GB, W8, steel series KB

Yeah, probably a good way to cheat stupid consumers (still a lot of them unfortunately) who thinks that gaming requires a very powerful CPU rather than a GPU haha  laugh.gif

I really miss the previous batches of MSI notebooks running on i5 processors + a very powerful GPU laugh.gif
With a GT740M only, I wonder how this recent ones will perform at FullHD gaming  sweat.gif

I thought is on GP60, but is on GP70.. sweat.gif

The gap between GT740M and GT750M is quite significant, either price or performance. GT740M is more like low-end medium class GPU and GT750M is on upper level of medium class GPU. Recently, I notice a price increase for GT750M laptops, probably they want to make a clear definition for GT740M and lower as well as GT750M and above.

No matter what result is, we consumer is always the loser....... icon_question.gif

Corrected haha laugh.gif
As long as we don't buy those units we will never be the loser haha laugh.gif

Still, the GP60/70 has their market too if one is looking for a relatively cheap notebook that is capable of photo editing and also rendering, with little to no gaming hmm.gif

But we are still as the spec and price are fixed by manufacturer. Actually they still can gaming, mostly for RPG and online games, but not FPS games like MMORPG.

We can expect GPU category like below:

GT740M and below: RM3k below

GT750M and GTX760M: RM3k~4k

GTX765M: RM4k~RM5k

GTX770M: RM5.5k~RM6.5k

GTX780M: RM6.5k above

You are most welcomed man!
I think the lineup is pretty good, covering a wide range of budget; though would be nice if there's one around RM3.5k laugh.gif
Specs new and awesome, probably one of the reason's why its expensive too~

Great to see MSI stepping up its game  thumbup.gif

Quite good, a lot of features, now GE,GS fully support Dynaudio with 4.1 speakers for GS and GT.

Just the price hinders people to buy (RM6XXX for GS)

people may look for affordable GE but China MSI Baidu has reviewed that only 2 copper pipelines found in new GE series instead of 3 in older series.

So, feel the heat...GE!!

Well, you get what you pay for haha laugh.gif
Personally I think the notebooks are pretty well priced~
I suppose the only thing holding some people back is that they don't really know the quality of MSI after sale services over here hmm.gif
Risky to get something so expensive but with potentially poor support
Gigabyte notebooks are not really popular here in Malaysia unfortunately sad.gif

Not really much people can afford especially those students, but if they are working or from "High\Rich\LengChai" then another story. You are right, so far too mysterious for MSI support. I even hesitate to claim warranty because of my issue (dunno how to explain to them, afraid of ending up waiting for weeks or months)
