I know my demand for a laptop might sound a little impossible, but is there anything out there that has the battery life of a Macbook Air while keeping its form factor as small as possible?

I'm eyeing at the Zenbook UX301LA, however the battery life is not up to par, doesn't come with a gigabit LAN (thou it comes with a USB to ethernet converter)

I need to buy something portable, slim, battery efficient, looks nice and presentable. Only need to open documents and surf net. Preferably SSD or Hybrid. IPS screen is a bonus. Touch screen is optional. Must be Windows fine with FreeDos, but it must be a non Apple.

Thanks

Add: Will the UX302LG have shorter battery life as compared to the UX301LA due to the graphic card? Assuming both is on low load like net surfing.

poor sony, sold off their Vaio PC division.

Their Vaio laptops are nice, I nearly bought the RM4999 variant of the SVP13 before considering the rMBP

so in the end brought rmbp?

Yes. The best Windows subnotebook is the Mac itself. And it's true, drivers are working fine unlike my previous laptops, an update can cause a blackscreen when booting

worth to get the vaio pro since sony sold off the laptop division?

Yes. SSD, IPS, sturdy build for cheap.

No one can compete with it.

Sony notebooks are only purchasable at Sony Centres, so try finding them there nod.gif
But with the crazy price slashes, do expect some, if not most to be sold out  laugh.gif

SVP13 a lot sold out, SVF more commonly spotted.
