Asus only have 3 touchscreen-enabled notebooks, and all of them are to date not 15.6" in size... so its a no nod.gif

Hey guys,

I know I'm a bit late to the party, but do you suppose that the Lenovo Y580 is still available in Lowyat from a decent retailer?

I dropped by there for a quick look last week and some guy tried to sell me an outdated, non-FHD model for RM3250, saying that since the stock is limited, prices have gone up. Bullshit, really.

Its pretty hard for us to say to be honest... your best bet is to ask from shop to shop... but before you do that, perhaps you can browse through Garage Sales and see whether anyone is still selling them icon_rolleyes.gif

For that price, might as well get Y500 laugh.gif

I still see units with this specs around, going for RM32xx. (check with him http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1899264. Disclaimer: I am not related to the re-seller, and this is not an endorsement of his services)

If I were to go all out and go for a 15 inch laptops, I have Asus N56 in my mind.
However after checking the price and specs it seems that S56 has a better spec isn't it?
S56 has a better processor and it has SSD which the N56 lacks.
Is there a bay for SSD in the N56?

One thing that I do know that N56 has over the S56 is the backlit keyboard but I don't think that is necessary.
It's not like I don't have lights at home biggrin.gif
It is beautiful but it is only needed in the dark I think.

I don't really need an ultrabook nor a touchscreen.
Just need a big estate screen because I sit long hours behind the laptop and my eye sight is pretty poor.
I don't need something super fast as I don't play games.
Just need to browse the web a lot, upload HD photos, watch movies/shows, Excel & Word.
That's about it.

Thanks

Review on the new Dell XPS 13 with FullHD is out: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Update...ok.89375.0.html

Not bad at all, a pretty good and portable machine for photo editors out there (although it doesn't have an SD card slot, need to use external ones tongue.gif) nod.gif

Some other alternatives include the HP Envy Spectre 13/14 and Dell XPS 15 cheers.gif
