QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Jan 14 2013, 02:46 PM) You won't be able to get a Full SSD at that budget range, but you can get something with an mSATA 14" DEll [Ultrabook]Inspiron 14z, i5-3317U + AMD HD7570M + 32GB SSD + 500GB(5400rpm)@RM2449[1.87kg], 4GB, W8 *no VGA port, OD dell inspiron 14r se i5 vs lenovo z480.....which is better for overall? as i hate about dell..the warranty to short....where can i buy blank laptop? without os as i got 10 free windows 8 pro.from microsoft..so i can save few hundreds

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Jan 14 2013, 03:10 PM) The Dell is better in a sense that it has a faster HDD. CPU and GPU-wise, both perform similarly... As for warranty, no doubt Dell is better. The Z480 is slightly more expensive. The money you save from buying Dell can be used to extend warranty to 3 years (~@RM250) But I don't think you can get FreeDOS models though... we only have a handful of those, and most are very budgeted units now only have DELL INSPIRON 14R SE I5 that have windows 8 and 750gb RPM......the price for del and lenovo is same right?

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Jan 15 2013, 10:21 PM) We mostly recommend Dell because of its superb on-site warranty support, which is unmatched by all the other brands which require you to bring your own notebook to the service center should anything fail It all depends on what you are looking for. The Inspiron 14R SE comes with a 750GB(7200rpm) HDD whereas the Lenovo comes with a 1TB(5400rpm) HDD. Although the Lenovo has a larger harddisk space, the Dell has the faster rotating HDD, which means your overall computing experience will be faster Some more you can always get an external HDD (up to 3TB now) if you feel 750GB is not enough for you didnt dell inspiron 14r se i5 windows 8 has 750gb 5400rpm? can u give me link for this model spec? not from dell website...i want that 750gb 7200rpm windows 8... and do you know any seller here that sell this? and what is this model code? QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Jan 16 2013, 10:40 AM) The Inspiron 14R SE comes with a 500GB(7200rpm) HDD: http://configure.ap.dell.com/dellstore/con...s=dhs&cs=mydhs1Like what nexus and I have said, HDD speed is more important than capacity. If you need more space, just get an external HDD. As to where to buy, just get from Dell online (remember to bargain) what the model code? i thought that the i5 with win7 is no more...now with win8 750gb but 5400rpm..however pls give me the i5 wun7 and i5 win8 code.tq

QUOTE(jwri35 @ Mar 3 2013, 02:33 PM) Well talking with my parents we can squeeze a budget of 1550 for a customized alienware, usage being a tiny bit of gaming and a lot of autodesk using things like engineering programs house designing programs, and to be honest weight doesn't bother me one bit due to the fact that i carry it in a backpack with all my other items and its usually on a desk or on my lap. Halfway through reading this email i realised that while i was on the dell website i was in the US option, which have ultimately destroyed my dreams of getting an alienware. (I live in Australia) how about lenovo? i know website that provide almost all laptop coupon..pm me.. btw we cannot buy online at lenovo malaysiawebsite?
