QUOTE(hwchua @ Feb 4 2013, 04:28 PM) If budget allow, extend warranty to 3 years. (Which category Essential, Basic or Premium) I extend for Basic 3 years any different? Thank you For Dell Inspiron laptop:Essential - NBD on site service after remote diagnosis. Basic - Essential + cover accidental damage (pour the whole can of coke on the laptop keyboard, drop the laptop onto the floor, leave laptop on bed and son jump on it, electric surge .... Dell will fix it no question ask Premium - Basic + software support (don't need lah Basic is almost double the price of Essential (and you should see why). Go for the longest period possible (you want at least minimum cover over long period; rather than max protection over short period then no protection in the longer run). Then if you think you are really "kelam kabut" kind of person, opt for Basic. Please note for XPS or Alienware line, Essential / Basic / Premium mean different thing (all include NBD on site, cover accidental damage, software support, just different length of period). S56 and S550CM are both 15.6" notebooks, same size as the Z500~ |
