If you can get thet K46 at that price, then its worth it; you can even game on that ultrabooks brows.gif . But do take note that we are assuming that the deal is safe and the notebook is new and original icon_rolleyes.gif

either Acer V3-571G-53212G50, i5-3210M + Nvidia GT630M@RM1999, 2GB, 500GB

or

Asus
A55VD-SX520/521/522H, i5-3210M + Nvidia GT610M@RM2149[2.52kg], 2GB, 500GB, W8; colors: white/blue/red

S56CM-XX090H i5-3317U + Nvidia GT635M + 24GB mSATA + 500GB@RM2199[2.3kg], 2GB, W8; color: black

or

Dell nspiron 15R (Special Edition), i5-3210M + AMD HD7730M@RM2199, 4GB, 1TB(5400rpm); backlit keyboard optional, W7HP/W8

and Lenovo Ideapad Z580, i5-3210M + Nvidia GT640M@RM2299, 4GB, 750GB(5400rpm), W7HB, white

personally I vote for asus s56 because it got ssd and the GPU slightly weaker than others

hmm.gif The advantage of this model is the discrete graphic card, GT635M. But the processor is really weak.
The weight is heavy too, 2kg.

If for girl, without gaming...........better choose i3 or above. Usually girl only know about processor, not really on GC.

K46CM-WX060V, B987 + Nvidia GT630M@RM1799[2kg], 2GB, 500GB, W8, OD
If the unit is legit, then you are getting > 10% discount on a budget laptop, it's a good deal.
It can handle the usage you specify earlier.

At your budget, as light as possible? Closest:

Dell
Inspiron 14z, i3-3217U + Intel HD4000@RM1799[1.87kg], 4GB, 500GB(5400rpm), W8, *no VGA port, OD

HP
Pavilion Sleekbook 14-b051TU, i3-2367M + Intel HD3000@RM1499, 2GB, 500GB(5400rpm), W8 (prev gen CPU)

Lenovo
S400, i3-2365M + AMD HD7450M@RM1699[1.8kg], 4GB, 500GB(5400rpm), W7HB (prev gen CPU)

All the above has better CPU, but weaker GPU compared to the K46CM you mentioned.

No stock full SSD in laptop for your budget.
Starcraft2 - At 1366x768 (HD), if you turn the details to the lowest possible, you can play it with Intel HD 4000.
At 1366x768, if you want to play with decent details, you need GT620M or better, but GT620M will still lag in big battle.
1080p movie - laptop can process, but you need the screen to show the FHD details. At your budget, there is no laptop with FHD screen. You have to connect to external display or TV which can display FHD.

Laptop that come closest to your requirement is this (no FHD):
Acer
M5-481TG-53316G12, i5-3317U + Nvidia GT640M LE (28nm Kepler) + 128GB SSD@RM2899[1.85kg], 6GB, W7HP

Then, these (no FHD, no SSD)
Asus
K46CM-WX090H, i5-3317U + Nvidia GT635M@RM2199[2kg], 2GB, 500GB, W8, OD
K46CM-WX060V, B987 + Nvidia GT630M@RM1799[2kg], 2GB, 500GB, W8, OD

Then, these (no FHD, no SSD, not ultrabook)
Acer
Aspire V3-471G-53212G75d, i5-3210M + Nvidia GT630M@RM1899[2.3kg], 2GB, 750GB W8

Dell
Inspiron 14R, i5-3210M + Nvidia GT630M@RM1899[2.38kg], 4GB, 500GB(5400rpm), W7HP/W8

HP
Pavilion G4-2132/2133TX, i5-3210M + AMD HD7670M@RM1899[2.19kg], 2GB ,500GB(7200rpm), W7HB, colors: white/black
Pavilion G4-2107AX, A10-4600M + AMD HD7670M@RM1899, 2GB, 500GB

hmm.gif All the listed model above my budget a lot............in fact i plan to buy around RM1200. To replace my spoilt media player to connect TV.

in my mind, HP Sleekbook b009tu, 14", i3-3217U, 2GB RAM, HD4000, no SSD, RM1179
but the proc is not powerful enough, starcraft2 should be a problem even low setting.

PC is weak on mobilization, I will bring back the laptop to my hometown for TV connection and file sharing too.

laugh.gif somemore not nice in look.

my PC and media player just spoilt together 2 weeks ago doh.gif

if I choose i3-3217U, then I stick no gaming laugh.gif
HP also available a G4 series laptop RM1240, i3-3110M HD4000, much powerful than ULV, but thick of laptop not nice in looking tongue.gif

If you want to stick with laptop, nothing new within your budget can give you everything you want.
Your only bet is those 2nd hand, like Asus N53 / K53 (GT540M), K42 / N53 (GT335M). But I don't think you want 2nd hand laugh.gif (this thread is buying new laptop laugh.gif icon_rolleyes.gif )
