Yaa ... a few of my old classmates stayed in the same small Taman. Since primary school, we shared PC. One guy would buy a model, and all of us went to the house to use it laugh.gif
Our primary school bought Apple II in 1984, which didn't even have HDD, but all of us decided to get 80286 in 1986 running MSDOS 3 when we started secondary school .... (CPU and OS life cycle was soooooooo long then). My turn to make the purchase was 80486DX2 in 1992, we already started college.
All of us still keep our old machines around laugh.gif I think the most valuable now is the 80286 ....

The Z930 is made of Magnesium Alloy, not sure whether it better than aluminium body or not, but the rigidity is there brows.gif
Here's a recent review on the Z930 (specs may differ abit): http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Toshib...ok.87043.0.html

Yup, which was why I added the direct competitor Samsung ATIV Smart PC Pro in the recommendation as well brows.gif
Full HD, touchscreen + stylus support~

11.6"
Samsung [Ultrabook] ATIV Smart Pro, i5-3317U + Intel HD4000 + 128GB SSD + (1920x1080; touch)@RM3599[884g w/o keyboard], 4GB, stylus, W8; color: black

Of course, if you don't mind the heavier weight, the Dell XPS 12 and Sony Vaio 11 are good choices too (FullHD, touchscreen)~

11.6"
Sony Vaio 11 Duo, i5-3317U + Intel HD4000 + (1920x1080; touch) + 128GB SSD@RM3999[1.31kg], 4GB, W8, stylus

12.5"
Dell
[Ultrabook] XPS12, i5-3317U + Intel HD4000 + 128GB SSD + (1920x1080)touch screen@RM3899[1.52kg], 4GB, W8, backlit, spill resistant keyboard, build-in battery, no ODD
[Ultrabook] XPS12, i7-3517U + Intel HD4000 + 256GB SSD + (1920x1080)touch screen@RM4999[1.52kg], 8GB, W8, backlit, spill resistant keyboard, build-in battery, no ODD

These 3 are most often discussed when one is looking for a FullHD, touchscreen convertible device~

HELLO ADMIN,

I would like to request some suggestions on laptops since I m getting a new one for study purpose. I m studying in the field of architecture. icon_question.gif

1. Preferred Brand
Lenovo, Dell, Asus.

2. Budget
Around 2k to 2.4k (pls try not to exit the budget)

3. Usage
Study, light gaming (fb games) and some games like dota and maple story, watch some movies (nt hd)

4. Preferred laptop/screen size
Abt screen size i recommend 14" inch
One of my friend recommend lenovo z480, I found it is quite convinient but the problem is it comes with windows 7
home basic which is kinda disappointing.
May i ask whats the cost to upgrade win7HB to win7HP???
Besides is there any laptop that has backlit keyboard that fits my budget.

THATS ALL, THX A LOT thumbup.gif

14"
Asus A45VS-VX026H, i5-3210M + Nvidia GT645M@RM2199[2.4kg], 2GB, 500GB, W8

Dell Inspiron 14R (Special Edition), i5-3210M + Nvidia GT640M(28nm Kepler)@RM2049[2.38kg], 4GB,
500GB(7200rpm), W7HP/W8

Lenovo Z480, i5-3210M + Nvidia GT640M@RM2299, 4GB, 1TB(5400rpm) W7HB, colors: grey/red/blue

I would recommend the Dell due to the faster HDD and also the better warranty support. It has backlit keyboard as well iinm. Use your remaining money to extend warranty to 3 years (Should be RM249 only) brows.gif
There you have it, the best bang for you buck~ And you don't have to worry if anything happens to your laptop, since Dell will fix it asap for you, unlike other brands laugh.gif

Depends on whether you always bring your notebook with you when you go out or not laugh.gif
If you travel alot, then go for the M3, otherwise, stick to the V3 icon_rolleyes.gif
