This is a fact: 3 out of every 4 dollars spent in IT is used to link ERP and CRM together. That's 75% of someone's resources dedicated to that branch of IT. While netowrking isn't a bad choice either, I believe what you mentioned about being precived as cheap labour kinda rings true...
