Try "Save to My Places". Then you can edit from there.

can i use this guide instead ?

verno91's guide needed windows OS

Use the adb method. It's easy and simple.

I unlocked, flashed recovery, rooted, restore apps+data on my N4 all from my Mac, using the command line only.

$ fastboot flash recovery recovery-image-file.img

Fix your recovery first, then only worry about the rest.

i just double click the abd file and type that in ?

Set the path to your folder with adb, fastboot and miscellaneous files.

Then when you are at bootloader, use the fastboot command in your Terminal program.

the oneclick mactool click failed as well.

it got stuck when trying to reboot bootloading, my Gnex screen turned black without rebooting.

now, cant even enter recovery mode, everytime stuck at boot logo. my phone is doomed!
*
After power off (take out battery for a couple seconds to confirm it's power off), then put power it on while holding down the volume down button, until you see the bootload. Bug droid with tummy opened. That is when you use your fastboot.

fastboot should comes together with adb program.

would my command be "$ fastboot flash recovery recovery-image-file.img" ? if the img file is recovery.img ?

anyway i tried "$ fastboot flash recovery recovery-image-file.img" and "$ fastboot flash recovery recovery.img", both didnt work
*
recovery-image-file.img, of course it has to be exactly the same as the filename of the file that you downloaded.

If yours is recovery.img, then type as recovery.img.

Is your device detected by fastboot?

$ fastboot devices

It should list your device there with its unique id.

I think his phone gone case dy.

Should at least see the word "android" if the rom doesn't come with bootanimation. 5 minutes on the Google letter is just too long. hmm.gif

AlphaOmega001 assuming you downloaded the correct rom, maguro? Just in case.

Setup TeamViewer then remote in. If not, Google Chrome has remote control plugin as well. laugh.gif

you mean from vernon91's guide ? or first time rooting my GNex ?

im using the toolkit now, cant find the option of reinstalling fastboot ?

before my phone got bricked, i didnt enable usb debugging, maybe thats why i cant flash google image ?
*
USB debugging has nothing to do with fastboot. It's for adb in Android.

You got the right version of ROM, I assume? Maguro? I asked this before and I never see you answer that. It might sounds stupid to ask, just in case you took the wrong ROM.

Nothing is safer than getting it from the official website.
http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html

After extract, the important files should be in:
CODE
android-sdk-macosx/platform-tools/

You sure?

I tried using ciggy charger that output 2.1A, it charges damn fast. laugh.gif
