It seems that Maxis set having big issue.

I've encounter two iPhone 5 16GB Maxis set suffering from sudden no 3G signal. Even using airplane mode doesnt help to revive 3G signal.

Only option is to switch off and on back the phone.

This problem didn't exist in Apple Store units.

I thought so as myself and many maxis users are facing this issue. Turns out that folks on other carriers are, as well. To make it worst, if you check out the Apple support forums it looks like its happening many other people on other networks worldwide. It's an iPhone 5 issue maybe? 4/4S does not seem to have such issues.

Ok so the Maxis engineers finally admitted that the iPhone 5 chipset is incompatible with their network at the moment. They are apparently working hard to resolve it and it affects all the Maxis i5 users. 6.1 should be released end of the month according to them and they will also release a carrier settings update soon. They should acknowledge this earlier on. Anyway I got all my bills waived by them and also some extra credit in the name of goodwill.
