Bro, please be advised that Maxis to maxis call will be deducted on 1000mins first, rest assure, 333 mins apply to others telco.

The bill is different.

Which means even you call maxis mobile number first, you will be using the 1000mins maxis-maxis quota.

Maxis will differentiate for u =)

Hopefully this help u.

Just want to ask regarding the Maxis contract. How much must I pay for the first time if I choose for iValue Simple? Is it 2079+100 and then 50/month. And what is rebated over 5 months under Advance Payment? Can someone clarify about Maxis hidden fees. Sorry for the noob questions.
*
Rebate over 5 months means the advanced payment will be divided equally to pay your future 5 months bills. So you pay RM2079 + RM100 at the counter for the first time.

The next bill will be prorated to your official bill date (e.g. your bill date is 10 Feb, so the first bill will come as 3 Feb to 10 Feb, which is 7 days. Amount to pay is RM50/30days*7days), and this will not be covered in the advanced bill payment.

The next complete one month cycle of the bill (i.e. 11 Feb to 11 March), will be RM50 + service charge (6%?). But since you paid RM100 for 5 months (or RM20 for a month), you "payable amount" will be RM50-RM20=RM30 for the rest of 5 months. However you need to ensure that your previous bill has been cleared to be eligible to receive then RM20 rebate for your coming bill.

---
EDIT: If you exceed the internet quota, no hidden fees will be charged but the speed will be awfully throttled. This applies to all iValue plans but not the non-iValue plans from I can see.

What is the quota? Because my bro want to call his gf.. I am helping him to survey ==

1000 min or something like that? I think it's different from plan to plan you're subscribing to. Maybe can call 100 and ask.

QUOTE(ianteo @ Feb 16 2013, 12:22 AM)
Good evening people
I'm not familiar with this maxis plan ; I'm planning to get an Iphone 5
If i plan to go for the Ivalue 3  which is Rm 250 per month ,2 years contract .I have to pay 4 months advance which is RM 1000 plus Rm rm449 for the phone, am I right?
Do I need a credit card to sign up or I can use cash for the plan?
Can I pay the monthly fee by cash or I have to use credit card as well??

Thanks in advance
*
I signed up for iValue 1 with full cash - phone and advanced payment.

So,
1. If you check the latest Maxis Website, your iValue 3 is RM250/month with RM449 device price but RM1500 advanced payment... So it should be RM1500 + RM449 = RM1949.
2. I saw the guy beside me paid with credit card, in full. They have the facilities to accept credit cards.
3. As above.

Anyone here getting billshock from maxis? My Jan 15th-Feb 15th bill is RM267 when I sign up for iValue 100.

My phone got barred yesterday evening. They didn't 1. Send me my outstanding bill to me 2. They didn't even SMS me regarding any payment.
So I called them right when my phone was barred, and to find out that my Jan bill is RM267!?

I asked them why is my bill so frikking high and they said they do not know as my bill statement is not out yet, supposingly to come out tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. But I just want to check with you other lowyat forumers to see if anyone else here getting bill shock from maxis under iValue plan.
*
I just got my first bill today. No shock. Only paying 40 cents extra for texting non-maxis numbers. smile.gif

Any1 with I value 1 plan here? Why is it my first month bill is rm50 despite that I already paid rm500 for advance payment? @@
*
First bill is prorated from date of purchase till your bill date, e.g. 15/2and is not eligible for RM100 rebate. The next bill with full 30-day cycle will get the RM100 rebate.

QUOTE(SHOfrE3zE @ Feb 18 2013, 10:21 AM)
i'm on ivalue 1 too and my 1st bill is RM33. was on conversation with the online chat representative and she mentioned that the free calls/sms/MMS only applies for MAXIS to MAXIS.
*
A mistake there. For iValue 1, you're entitled to 333 min of calls to all network operators, and 1000 min to maxis numbers. But SMS, yes, only to maxis numbers.

QUOTE(trippin2 @ Feb 18 2013, 12:22 PM)
So i checked out the usage website, as long as I haven't used up my free mins/sms, the unbilled amount will say rm0?
*
You will see some sorta figures building up until the bill date. But it will be deducted in the monthly bill. Rather meaningless to see that I'd say.

I got my bill and my internet usage before rebate is RM16,*** for 1.6GB. LOL so exaggerative!!

Anyone that knows how to see the bill can help me?
I dunno whether I need to pay or not yet.....
I signed the plan on 8th Feb 2013.
Help pls? notworthy.gif [attachmentid=3313670]

If you see negative sign, it means you over paid the amount. In this case your first RM100 has already been given back into the bill, hence your deposit became RM400.

RM-102.36 means you have extra balance left in your account. If the next month bill comes at RM101 for example, you will see RM-1.36. However in your case the deposit has not been returned fully to you, another RM100 will be credited to you, making it RM-101.36; i hope you understand my explanation.

Rule of thumb: negative sign = over paid, or simple said, no need to pay.

EDIT: you signed the bill on Feb or Jan? Typo?

When she bought the iPhone , on the spot offered by maxis to purchase insurance. The premium is added to the mthly bill.
Was told that u r not allowed to buy insurance once it leaves the premises.

They will give u new set after submitting police report.

Not sure whether got cover water damage though.
*
The guy told me there will be cheaper rates offered to those who subscribed, i.e. cheaper repair/replace. And water damage too if not mistaken.
That guy told me RM38/month.

I bought my iPhone over 2 months alrd, means the insurance thing I can't sign up now alrd?
*
Supposingly they wouldn't allow it after the phone leaves the shop.

But maybe try calling the telemarket like above said.

If you really are prone to lose your phone within these few months, or damaged the screen (choi!) then it's a good investment. Since you can stop subscribing it anytime.
But two months already.. Hmm.. Don't know. :/

If there is a contract, then penalty is chargeable. Else, you're free to go.

Hi guys, I was told that Maxis MultiSim with Data Sharing is only for corporate users only???
*
I think multisim is supported for all users. I myself inquired this at 123 for my personal line use.
Having said that, data can only be enabled for one simcard according to the operator. So I might be talking about a different plan from yours.

QUOTE(david_kiat @ Jun 18 2013, 10:40 PM)
Does Maxis still have Ivalue simple?

I have contradictory answers from 123.
*
I can't seem to select iValue Simple from their website anymore. Was that suppose to be a limited offer thingy?
