hey guys, I've looked around a bit for figure shops that sell Nendoroids in KL. Can someone please point out some decent ones that don't sell for break neck prices like XL Hobby Shop, but no counterfeits like that shop on lowyat 2nd floor? Thanks smile.gif

Oh, that looks nice. I'll drop by tomorrow if I have time. Hmm... any reason why your shop isn't listed on the first page though? tongue.gif

The only physical shops I know which sell Nendo in KL other than XL Shop are:-

Gamers Arena, just beside XL-Shop in Berjaya Times Square. The prices are better than XL, but the selection is quite limited.

Toy Garden in Sungei Wang 4th Floor and Pavilion Tokyo Street. Prices aren't better than XL Shop, but the one in Sungei Wang, at least, has given some special offers - there was a buy 2 get 1 free offer last Christmas, for example. Make sure it's Toy Garden, by the way - the manga/anime shop just adjacent to it sells counterfeit Nendos, although the prices should indicate so in any case.

Time Machine in Berjaya Times Square, level 2 - in the IT Centre section. Almost adjacent to IT Toys. Prices are quite high there, but you have a better chance of finding older Nendos which may be hard to find elsewhere.

Can't think of any others at the moment, but, of course, there are the online merchants, most of whom have good reputations and prices, and many of whom the members of this forum can recommend if you want. The prices are usually good, and shipping is sometimes free. The downside is sometimes they may take longer to arrive compared to XL Shop (I'm still waiting for my Chris Yukine, and it's killing me especially when i can see her in XL Shop), and you usually need to pre-order (i.e. they may not hold ready stock, although if it's not a hard-to-get Nendo they can always bring it in for you, but it'll take a while). The good thing about online merchants is that given the consistent quality of Nendos, not seeing the physical toy before buying is usually not a big issue, unlike with some other toys.

Much thanks for the informed reply. I'll head to Bukit Bintang soon instead and take a look. Yea, Time Machine is the only one I can think of right now. Longer shipping doesn't matter much to me if it takes weeks, as long as it doesn't take unreasonable months. I took a trip to Singapore and their selection was quite generous, slightly cheaper than Malaysia but it might come to roughly the same once you factor in shipping. Toy Garden and Time Machine it is then, thanks very much again.

Also, AfHobbyStore boycotted for selling counterfeit goods? I usually look up nendos at http://myfigurecollection.net/ to identify counterfeit nendos before proceeding to purchase them in a local store =/

if u wan fast, u might consider purchase from them...

nice service... extremely fast service with higher shipping cost of course... just purchase miku no 339a from him 2 weeks ago... he bring in from japan and reach my place in 4 days time after payment done...

Time machine is very exp for all the nendo but bcoz of that u sometime can find some old nendo there... if u wan to find old nendo and dun mind the price, then can visit time machine at BTS otherwise forget about it...

Toy garden oso good limited choices... it only have the new release...

AFhobby does not sell counterfeit and the price i would say average... except the old boss is below average... rolleyes.gif
