QUOTE(Hungry_Wolf @ Mar 20 2006, 01:12 AM) hey thanks for replying...unfortunately all my friends are using worse PSU than what i have. Basically i have a celeron D 2.4@3.6 E0 stepping not prime stable unless i up the voltage to 1.475v (i know many E0 cel D does 3.6 at stock voltage, could it be my PSU?). At this voltage everything runs fine... but when i try to restart the com it wont start. A cold boot wouldnt happen either.. |

yeah... make sure the mem divider is set to 1:1 (i.e 333) and not auto as the mobo assigns a 5/4 divider for auto.

yeah, only 2.85V. i know the Ch-5 requires a lot of voltage. but this is just DDR350 at SPD timings and it still wouldn't budge from 175Mhz. in fact i can even run on the most aggresive timings with turbo mode at DDR350. but at fsb 180mhz (ram at DDR360 SPD), the system won't even post.

Cold boot is a situation where sometimes your system refuse to boot, eventhough your pc's stability is good. It may need a few times restart to make it turn on and post.

Hmm you know I have this occasionally with my 2.4C on a P4P800-E Deluxe.
Sometimes, maybe once in 3 weeks, I will come home from work, turn on my PC and everything comes on, but no POST, nothing. THen I turn off, turn on again and its fine. I always wondered why its so. I was thinking the mobo is slowly degrading from running at 250MHz FSB daily. |
