Hi ALPINE sifus,

Need your advice here regarding the CDA-9887 and W520E head units...

Can i use this 2 players together?

As in the 9887 to be used like a sound processor?

while the W520E used as CD player?

im not very pro in terms of understanding how car audio setup works...

im just looking for ways to improve my SQ as my current setup using the PXE-H650 just doesn't work well...

im considering buying a 9887 to replace the H650...

can it work?

amp = Alpine F640
speaker = Boston SPZ-60
processor = PXE-H650

can't do much with the PXE-H650...

the settings is basically what you can press on the buttons...that's all...very limited tuning

it just did not get the sound to come out...positioning and staging of the voice is wrong...

background of the sound is just messy...

it just doesn't allow much manual tuning...

i believe my speakers can achieve better sound than that...

thanks to the audio shop owner for recommending such a product when i can get much more if i spent a bit more extra cash on brands like Audio Control or Audison..

Why la susah susah want to buy sound processor??

Settings in the CDA9887 pun belum tentu you can tune to perfection. Sudah ada Time Alignment, crossover and basic equalizer cukup la.. most important subject in an ICE is "Tonality" of speakers and how they should sound like. Can't get that right, you can spend 100k, and its still gonna sound like crap. Just keep it simple bros..

ya but anyhow, Simon is selling a good sound processor. smile.gif

Cukup la bang.. I tend to put the equalizer as flat as possible anyway.. leaving it to the sound recording engineers to their jobs when they produced the music smile.gif
