Been looking around for quite some time

thinking of getting a condo/landed in Penang Island or KL city.

can get any decent ones for below 500k RM?

My search on property websites turned out a few, would like to hear more from the investors here!

requirements: (preferably)

1) freehold
2) min 1000sqft
3) not too far away from city

It's hard to get house below 500k in kl n penang island..but condo still can get...kl will be a wise investment

Penang island want landed property 2 storey around RM400K , go apply www.pr1ma.my

select biggest one 2500sqft,

It is an island, how far can it be? If govt give u Balik Pulau good lo...10km away from town bayan lepas...If govt give u Teluk Bahang even better so near batu ferrighi tourist sport..near to gurney too..

everyone eyeing for PRIMA nowadays. Developer give discount a lot also no one buy from them la. Some mention u give downpayment RM5K can owe a property already, pay the remaining balance when fully built..

Who wants to buy? If eligible for PRIMA better get with 40% discount...

RM500K condo can get from PRIMA selling at RM300K!!!

hmm prima sounds good, but the eligibility criteria is quite stringent! dont think can make it.

i'm looking more towards an investment property, which i can rent out. the rental every month should preferably cover the mortgage repayment.

How is the appreciation potential in KL? KL is pretty big too, with different sections.

My uncle owns a condo in Sg.Long, regretted didnt buy. was about 180k in the early 2000s. now fetching close to 500+k

My Apartment in Penang Island now can fetch more than Half Million compare to 20 years ago only $120k++
Since Penang Become World Heritage Site, Price of Penang's Properties still going Up & Up... blink.gif

you mean Pr1ma?
if non-government 1, you might still be able to find a DS terrace house in balik pulau.
other than that, impossible. Even a single storey landed near bayan lepas cost more than 500k.
For Condo, the most affordable 1 in recent launch is the one-imperial, starting price at around 400k.

I think the price $500,000 was 3 Years Ago, maybe Higher now hmm.gif
