IMHO, better protection - Diztronic Matte TPU, minimal protection - Rearth Ringke Slim Case.

Dude,if you turn of everything then basically you're crippling the functions of Android.

Even with my S2 now I turn on everything except for the location.Acceptable usage time with my self modded Samsung 4.1.2 ROM.

Really? I found them to be useful except for the NFC which I don't have.
Google Now usually show my sports team result once I turn on my data.Quite helpful since the Spanish League matches finish late & I cannot watch them.Looking forward to see the improvement in Android 4.2.1.

You mean showing your current location to another location (eg : your home)?
Mine does that everyday.

OK, of those "fixes"
First one:  Bumping video bitrate from 12 Mbps to 20 Mbps.  This isn't going to help much if at all.  12 Mbps is more than enough for any cameraphone.  It's utterly insane for it to exceed that of many Canon dedicated camcorders (17 Mbps).  Garbage in, garbage out - if the sensor is poor, the sensor is poor, and throwing bitrate at it will have very litle benefit.  Most of what you get from the first mod is going to be wasted storage space and a good helping of placebo effect.

The second one:  That will do NOTHING for image quality.  It is bumping up image DECODING memory.  DECODING.  Taking photos requires ENCODING images.  (Unless that is being used for debayering - but every mobile camera I've seen does debayering within the sensor subsystem and the host processor sees debayered RGB or YUV data.)  In addition, as far as memory preallocation for image processing - it either works, or it doesn't.  That mod does nothing but waste 20MB of system memory.

you checked the page or not? sample pictures and videos do have quite and improvement. can see for yourself.

a couple of pages back we discussed that the SP does not cover the sides of the bazel. does it at least extend to the edge of this casing?

I didn't read the T&C on the internet, but I do read the agreement on what I have signed on the paper which wrote there agreement is 0 months, but termination within 3months have to penalty RM100. I was lol-ed at that time.
example, Is like buying a Burger for FREE but have to pay RM10.
