consider not bad

as long as fish bite that mean your bait works

the fishing method is float attaching with bait basket (aka spring) then 2 meter line attaching double hook at bottom
make a loop at middle of the line , from the loop (center) 1 meter to float+ bait basket and 1 meter to hook
snap swivel at main line look at the loop
you can try google eupro giant king Pe1-3 that the rod i bring to fish .

Have you tried Exotic? Easy catch with a simple bait never fails me. Successes so far Red tail, Sultan, Alligator Gar and the famous Pak Su Kong. I really recommend this place to beginners. PM if you wanna know what bait I use there.
