after fishing for quite sometime, i think the fish finally exerted it's revenge on me.

got pierced on my middle finger (lol) by a feisty little patin's fins during unhooking yesterday. hurts like mad.

any remedies? 24hours has passed, didnt really swell up, just abit blue black. patin fins doesn't have any toxin i hope?

btw, when i kena my friend told me to wipe using the slime from the fish underbody. how does this help? old wives tale? i was sceptical. haha

skin punctured or just bruised?
marine species immediate home remedy is vinegar
freshwater .... guess it could be the same ... but if bad better go clinic

the few times i got poked, skin not punctured but still quite painful
like a vein was hit
*
punctured. like stabbed. will see if it gets better or worse.
anyway thx for the remedy info

caught nothing though there was plenty of activity. especially this black pacu shaped fish which kept doing somersaults all around. tongue.gif dunno what species.
and just last month a FB friend caught a milkfish here. laugh.gif

nice place. didn't expect such a place in the middle of a housing estate. gonna make a revisit soon biggrin.gif

Fellas I'm going on a sea fishing trip in 1-2 months time. around 40-50m deep according to a friend.

Don't have a proper sea fishing setup here. Any recommended setup ; reel, line, rod, etc.? Would consider in investing one set for the purpose

haha i think we all been through that stage. 'bangau tahap dewa' at times. tongue.gif still...i guess that's part of fishing

anyway...been recently fishing at this local paypond near my place...trying my luck at the month-long competition. few prices up for grabs.

first price got motorbike. 2nd shimano biomaster. (for some reason im more excited about the 2nd. hahah) 3rd Galaxy Beam. etc etc up till 20th spot

though the first appears abit far fetched. (19kg patin... shocking.gif), trying to get at least top 5. Currently 18th. LOL. laugh.gif

wish me luck...gonna try again this Friday

i wanna ask which type of bait that the fish of particular pond prefer ????

bread / pallet / dedak ???
*
commonly used by other anglers is bread & dedak. but dedak seems to be higher demand with the fishes.
however, the dedak is mixed till a dough like consistency. hmm.gif
pellets are hard to obtain here. even i had to ship pellets over from KL. LoL tongue.gif

just for fishing on the go. gonna be moving around quite often in the near future...wont wana drag a bazooka tube with me. tongue.gif
preferably spinning though. was looking at storm solitude or shimano axis stc. (can't seem to find the latter though hmm.gif )
