Hey guys, first of all I would like to apologize if im posting at the wrong place.

Here goes, During NYE, it was the first time I felt disgusted with myself after looking at all the people at the party that i went to, they were all (most of them) fit and healthy, and i look at myself, i started to feel disgusted with my body, so ive decided to lose weight.

I guess y im posting here is because that i know i'll be needing all the help that i can get.

Im 24 y/o. weighs around 98 - 100kgs (used to be 120kgs). height 183cm.

Im just wondering if u guys have any advice for me how to lose weight and how do u guys motivate urself?

for the time being this is what i have been doing or planning to do:

-going to enrolled myself this weekend to a boxing gym (not kickboxing)
-Ive been cycling to work the past 2 days (distance about 8kms combined back and forth)

Basically this is my diet the past 2 years. I have no clue of what I should do about my diet.

-Ill have a cup of milo in the morning with few biscuits (no sugar)
-mixed rice for lunch (some salted fish and fresh vege and soy sauce)
-dinner ill have couple of sandwiches.
-weekends, ill usually eat out, most of the time unhealthy food to be honest, such as burgers, nachos, and few pints of beers.

I would very much appreciate if you guys could help me out to lose weight, cause i have no clue what im doing, and im not looking for a fast result, just a slow steady pace, 10kgs in the first 6 months.?

Thank you again in advance for all the help, and sorry if my post is a nuisance to u guys.

Cheers

To lose weight you need to eat less than your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (after this refered to as TDEE). Do not eat less than your Basal Metabolic Rate (hereafter refered to as BMR).

Your current BMR (google is everyone's friend) appears to be about 2150 calories a day.

Depending on how many days a week you exercise you should aim to eat 2500-2800* calories a day.
*As you lose weight, you have to adjust your caloric intake. Right now, don't worry about it but it is something you should be aware of.

As for your goal of wanting to lose 10kg in 6 months is great and perfectly doable. You can look fantastic in that time, and assuming you stay consistent, you may lose more body fat than 10kg.

So learn to count calories (google is your friend) and keep them in check.

No, it doesn't matter what you eat. Eat what you like. Keep the calories in check, the weight will decrease.

HOWEVER, eating a well balanced diet will assist how full and satisfied you feel, how energetic you feel, how much muscle/fat you lose (you dont want to lose muscle...), and how you look.

So for your 'I wanna lose 10kg of weight' goal - just count calories.

If you want a more specific goal of 'I want to lose 10kg of FAT only' - that changes the game plan.
