Here's an article with videos and pics in it showing the Xperia Z's camera. Quality not bad tbh , more or less the same as the N8 or even better! Audio was good too. But it seems like Sony's phone always do have this audio not being recorded when the video starts to , for about a sec it records the audio.

Can't remember what previous phone had this problem tho.

Iinm both front n back are made wth the same glass aka deagontrail.
*
Probably , they are not willing to name it tho.

QUOTE
Q: Can you tell us about the quality of the glass?
A: Unfortunately we can't/don't mention supplier brands by name, but the Xperia Z uses tempered glass with an anti-shatter film on the front and back. It's the same stuff that's actually often used as a substitute in cars and industrial electronics. All in all, specs and strength are equivalent to Gorilla/Dragontail.

tat is bcauz of the brand value lar
there r many phone or device tat use corning glass or AGC glass
but in fact if u check there r difference in spec n type they used
thicker/ thinner 1/ the differences in strength etc

like u heard ppl say my screen is gorilla glass by corning but it still break / scratched
corning cheat ppl, n if sony advertise they use the glass, ppl will feel reluctant 2 buy it

so instead they would not want 2 advertise abt tat part
*
Of course , on some circumstances it will break , its a glass and why would anyone be feeling reluctant to be getting a better glass than a regular toughened one? Anyway still , the Z's design is great and sexy.. Who would think of putting the back glass as well? Nexus 4 , now this , Apple's trend at its best!

Just like tablets from Samsung , not much of a use unless you own recent new tvs , older ones doesn't work. Aircon remotes also uses irda right? Wouldn't it be cool if you can control it from your phone? tongue.gif

this was insane burst mode

*
"Highest resolution for burst mode" There's a higher resolution option just beside there doh.gif , well i guess he mean't the speed of the burst. But i have no idea why the highest resolution there isn't the low speed one rather than then 1080p option.

highest resolution = image size is bigger = slower = need more processing time
*
No. Who wouldn't know that? You didn't get what i mean't , i was saying the mid-speed burst mode has higher reso instead of being on the low speed option which is the 1080p option.

From what you said above , this applies nevertheless.

i think they try to mimic their camera experience in2 phone
their camera also have similar things

the sony camera burst mode also capture continues none stop 1mp pic
if choose higher mp, like 18mp, it is in mid-speed mode 7 frame per second
but a bit delay after each 7 frames, i think it need time to save down the photo
in low speed mode, it capture 2 mp photo with no delay with frequent re-auto focus on
yet still slower thn high speed mode with no auto focus

maybe it is the same in xperia Z, since it capture 10 frame per sec of 9mp photo
*
That i do not know.. Since you owned a lot of Sony phones , don't you noticed that whenever it captures a video after a sec only it starts recording the audio? Even XZ. wink.gif
