I  just bought a ASUS RT-AC55UHP for my Maxis Fiber (for condo), once i switched and start configure in Asus router interface follow the steps of Asus Malaysia provided video everything just can't connected, even i switch it back to Maxis own router.

I follow exactly what shown in the video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBRbk1FSFj0

Currently i can't login to Maxis Network with Maxis own router or Asus router, can't even ping Maxis. Basically network all shutdown.

I wonder is it because of the Asus firmware (choice : Maxis fiber / TM modem+Maxis Router) or something else.

Anyone can advice?

Note: Network working in perfect condition few minutes before switching and configure on Asus router.

if even with maxis own router cannot connect, doubt it asus router issue, but I'm looking forward to the rep's answer

Ya, it's s very confuse stage.
I even check with maxis support team for few times in 2 days (Which in Original Tm+Maxis Router setup) ID and Password all correct manner. They can't even see what is the problem, plus there is no TM network issue reported in my Condo. Of cause they still need to wait for TM official report.

If it's really because of TM side, then i must be having a huge bad luck behind me which it happen just a few minutes after i switched.

i seen them test my optical cable, there is a threshold of dB within unifi specifications of fibre, crossing the threshold and they rewired the whole cable out to the external junction box

vdsl I'm not sure though, might be also because of the snr ratio

Just installed Time internet which came with a TP Link Archer  AC1200 which gave much higher download and upload speeds (up to 150mbps) compared to like only 50-60mbps for my current Asus RT AC68U???

What did I do wrong with the configuration? It's by PPOE connection and WPA 2 Personal security. I'm a newbie so some help is greatly appreciated smile.gif

sounds like wireless N instead of AC

currently using Asus RT-N14UHP, does this router support speed up to 100 Mbps ?

my current ISP Verizon is providing speed as of 100 Mbps but it seem like i'm only getting around max 30 Mbps from the speed test that i conduct.

If i were to buy a new Asus router, which one is recommended  which can support speed up to 100 Mbps ?

30mbps on wireless is likely wifi N
30mbps on LAN is likely 10/100 LAN and not gigabit
