UniFi doesn't have modem
Only BTU & router

I believe you're talking about the BTU
The BTU cannot be removed. You can only replace the router
*
So if I want to subscribe unifi they will have to install their BTU for me then I can use my own router?

Yes  nod.gif and they will provide you with a router as well

And you need to make sure that your own router support unifi if you want to use it

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Aug 21 2016, 11:34 PM)
TM contractor will install UniFi's own BTU, router & HyppTV for you
Then you may proceed using a 3rd party router such as ASUS RT-AC68U
*
Thanks guy. Now I understand
