Whole Malaysia Asus centre only can claim smartphone/laptop/tablet, not router.

Router need to go back same shop to claim, they will help u claim.

1. QoS priority will be effective if there is lot of traffic using, if its in IDLE den of cos it'll use max speed since there is no busy traffic.

2. Make sure ur android player wifi chip support 5ghz band. And make sure u rename the 2.4ghz ssid and 5ghz ssid, same name will conflict.

QUOTE(jerm @ Jan 22 2016, 10:43 AM)
hi guys, i managed to get my n14uhp changed to the ac55uhp biggrin.gif

some questions though, would appreciate some feedback:

QOS
When setting the QOS, i want to blanket all services, so all i need to do is to put in the MAC address, and then set the priority, right? I did it that way, and found that the client is still able to achieve full speed (20M) even though QOS priority is set to Low (9M). Am i missing something here? By setting the priority to 9M, shouldn't that be the maximum throughput achieved?

edit: I've also tried setting individually the services, but it's still the same thing, 20M instead of 9M
AC 5GHz reception
I have an android player in the room across the hallway (2 walls separating the player and the router), but i seem to not be getting good reception (about 65dBM), compared to the 2.4GHz range (~7x dBm). I've moved it to a different channel, 48, and also tried with 20, 40 and also 80Hz individually, but no difference.

maybe ur TV have same channel/frequency with the router.

Try change to different channel/frequency and test it.

QUOTE(cheekian @ Feb 17 2016, 09:50 PM)
but why stock router that given by TM don't have any problem even though I put behind TV?
And I not feel this is signal problem,is the router problem, because it always suddenly drop line and always in the low speed...and the signal is very good and no problem, just the very low speed and always drop line problem.

Old don't gone, new won't come.

QUOTE(OKLY @ Feb 21 2016, 08:45 PM)
3 years old now.

Further observations, it's not really about how many torrents I'm downloading at the same time but the speed. Even if I download 10 torrent files together but if I limit overall global speed to 20mbps, everything still works fine. The router somehow "hangs" when the speed is near 30mbps. What I noticed is at 30mbps, the router's CPU load is at 100% causing the router to seem like it "hangs" until I reduce the speed which will lower the CPU load.

ASUSmy Is the router dying or unable to handle load?

Hi ASUSmy,

My RT-AC87U router is causing fast battery drain on my Samsung Galaxy S6 on 5Ghz channel. 2.4Ghz is fine. Previously the same phone was connected to a RT-AC68U via 5Ghz and it didn't have this problem. Is there a fix for this?

It's seem wireless card issue in the laptop, try replace n check again.

QUOTE(MBC270cdi @ Feb 29 2016, 01:32 PM)
1) No, I didn't do factory hard reset, kind of worry to "re-configure" everything for UNIFI password (have experience the same password failed miserably, need to call the dreaded UNIFI support) and the HYPP TV setting. Must I do hard reset to get the "update" effect? The G780 worked perfectly 1 month ago ler...(nothing changed and it just, poops.... no Internet)
2) All the G780 driver are Windows 10's, I didn't install any driver at all since it is Plug n play. (the original WiFi driver came with G780 also doesn't work). I'll try this new driver thingy.

Thanks for the help.

QUOTE(rjflyguy @ Mar 6 2016, 10:37 PM)
Dear ASUSmy,

I have been using the RT-AC55UHP for quite some time now and I am very happy with the performance and the features it provided.

The only thing that I still cannot do is to connect to the router from the Internet. FYI, I have already registered to the DDNS features using xxxxxx.asuscomm.com.

I failed to get the webpage of the xxxxxx.asuscomm.com from the internet but I can resolve the domain name and I can ping the xxxxxx.asuscomm.com from the Internet.

Are there any more steps that I have to do before I can browse the administration GUI from the Internet?

Thanks....

No, but when u setup Asus router in wizard mode, it will tell u LAN 1 is IPTV and LAN 4 is VOIP, so u just need connect maxis router to LAN port 4, den maxis router is WAN Port, den you can use VOIP ad..

Here the video guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBRbk1FSFj0

Hi,
how to use the DECT phone on RT-AC55UHP Wireless router? I need to maintain Maxis VOIP service hence need to retain the DECT phone usage. Can we use RJ11 to RJ45 cable converter to connect DECT phone to Ethernet port on AC55UHP?
