Hi a16791,

Have you try change the security type and see it can online or not?

Delete or forget the SSID profile and add again.

And may I know what is your current firmware version?

The newest one is 3.0.0.4.360.

Thank you

Yup. I'm on the latest firmware version. Your suggestion works. Tq.

I have a RT-N66U. Until last week, it disconnects from the Unifi. Regardless whether I access from LAN or wifi, there is no connection. Only when I switchoff and switchon the powersupply, it can reestablish the internet conenction. I am using WPA2-Personal as authenication. Since then, I have flashed latest B1 Firmware Version 3.0.0.4.370, the disconnection continues. Should I send it to the service center for repair?

hi AsusMY...good day...i juz bought the RT-N12D1 yesterday...i'm having the same problem as Flintstone above...after connecting to the internet for a while, my unifi connection disconnects when i checked the WAN connection in the router...i've upgraded the firmware to the latest which is Version 3.0.0.4.342...same situation as Flintstone, only after switching off and switching on back the router+modem, can the unifi connection re-establish back...i've tried switching back to the TM provided D-link router to see if it was the unifi line/connection that is having the problem, but then, it worked fine without any disconnections...should i use RT-N12C1 firmware (Beta Version 3.0.0.4.370) instead?...kindly advise...thanks...

Hi Flintstone,

Does this problem occur on the TM router?

If it still happen even after factory reset with the new firmware, yes do send in for warranty.

Thank you

Hi greg_F,

Try do a factory reset and see the problem still occur or not. And no, you cannot use the RT-N12 C1 firmware as it is different hardware version.

Thank you

Hi gsan,

If you mean the Hardware Version, at the label sticker there you will see a "H/W" wording on it. That will be the hardware version.

Thank you

Hi woond,

May I know is the CCTV decoder who do the DDNS log in process or the router? Because if the CCTV who do the dialing then the router no need to put any DDNS.

If not, then the router will need to put in the log in details for the DYNDNS.

Remember to do the port forwarding is you want to view it from external networks.

Thank you

Hi there.

I don't recall the CCTV could perform DDNS function as it's set to a internal IP address ( e.g 192.x.x.10) which is the same lan segment on my LAN. I suppose need to learn how to deal with port forwarding then . Please advice how to do it. I had register a dyndns domain for external network viewing and i had set to the same WAN IP address as my N16 WAN ip. From my N16 , how to link it to DYNDNS and how to port forward to my CCTV local LAN IP ?

Many Thanks!

Hi woond,

For the DDNS setting, you can do it at the page as shown below. Enable it and you can select the DYNDNS that suit you.

http://event.asus.com/2012/nw/dummy_ui/en/...NS_Content.html

If customer WAN is Dynamic IP then use this option.

If customer using their own Domain name and DNS handled by DynDNS.org then use this option.

For customer with Static WAN IP.

As for the port forwarding, you can refer to the link below on how to set it up. But you need to know which port are suitable for your CCTV.

Thank you

Hi, I just bought RT-N12HP as AP and I'm planning to buy a new router to replace the current router. So any recommendation? It would be good if it has the same setting like N12HP, control bandwith etc.

At first, I'm planning to buy two same model which are one for the router and one for the AP. But, the Antenna's is quite long for me.

P/S : Using Unifi

Hi Nando's,

External Antenna may have better coverage depend on what type of antenna they use.

And as for RT-N15U and RT-N14U.

RT-N14U is newer model and has extra feature compare to RT-N15U.

RT-N14U don't have repeater function but RT-N15U got.

You can refer to below link for more details.
