Firmware-Version:3.0.0.4.376_3861

I have setup the MAC Filter already. But I cant find any log function to see which clients actually connect / fail to connect.

Cleaning up the MAC filter = remove no longer used devices, i guess this would only be possible through the log or a future function (Client last seen on Date/Time). Maybe a suggestion for future firmware?
*
Hi PJusa,

In the Network Map-> Clients, you will be able to see the device that is connected to the router.

As for the device that is fail to connect due to the MAC filter, you won't be able to see it in the log.

And you should be able to delete the unused MAC address at the MAC Filter by pressing the delete button at the back.

But in future firmware you will have new feature where you can view the connected device in list, access time and export the list for future reference.

Please refer to below image.

Thank you

Hi Szzz,

May I ask, have you tried to do a factory reset?

And can you try using the Maxis router as the main router, and plug a LAN cable to the from the Maxis router LAN port to the ASUS WAN port as second router.

See that you able to get any Internet connection or not from the ASUS router.

Thank you
*
yes i have tried factory reset multiple times.

I tried plugging the N56U as a 2nd router the way you described (Maxis LAN to Asus WAN, Asus LAN to my PC) and i couldn't go online. Browser returns me with the error below

Reason for failed connection:
Connecting to remote server now.

Hi nsg86,

I would like to collect some information from you, can you provide me the setting file and system log from your modem router.

The system log preferably you download it when you face the slow problems. And my I know do you enable the QoS on the router?

Is there any other device that is connected to the modem router LAN port?

I will PM you my email address, you can send the file to me through email.

In the meantime, can you go to Advanced Settings > Administration > DSL Setting and make the following changes, see whether connection could be stabilized.

1. Set "DSL modulation” to G.DMT.
2. Set “Stability Adjustment” to -3 dB.

Thank you.

Hi, thanks for the help, i'm wondering whether the setting file will contains
my streamyx username and password? the setting file is get from
Advance Setting > Administration > Restore/Save/Upload Setting > Save Setting ?

But i didn't check with the device whether it is facing similar issue
when my pc (wireless) having slow down network issue.

Hi AsusMY,

Would like to seek your advice.

I bought Asus DSL-AC68U AC1900 router yesterday to replace my unifi dlink dir-615 stock router.

Somehow i just notice that there is no dedicated WAN port since the router is 2 in 1 WAN/LAN

My question is which router port should i plug the LAN (1-4) if im using port 1 modem?

Encounter error "pls check your dsl/wan"

I cant get it to work since this evening. Really need your advice thanks.

You are really confused.

Firstly, the RT-AC68U is a wireless router, not a modem.

Secondly, the modem for UniFi is called a BTU. The fibre optic cable is connected to the BTU, not the wireless router.

The wireless router's WAN port is connected to the BTU's LAN1 port using an Ethernet cable.

Are you trying to replace TM's BTU with a wireless router? It can't be done. smile.gif

Hi Szzz,

Have you try to log in to the ASUS router when you plug in the LAN cable? In the network map does it show connected?

And you can try do the Quick Setup and select the connection type as Automatic. If it unable to establish the connection, their is a high chances that the ASUS WAN port is faulty already.

Thank you

Hi nsg86,

Yes, it will contain your Streamyx user name and password. And yes the path to save the setting is correct.

If can do try to see if the LAN device having the same problem or not when it happen if it is a PC or notebook.

You can do some speedtest also, by using your PC or smartphone.

And have you tried the following setting?

1. Set "DSL modulation” to G.DMT.
2. Set “Stability Adjustment” to -3 dB.

Thank you

Hi Asus support. How to turn off port 554 in asus RT-AC55UHP?

Is port 554 and the DLNA server related? I have turned off the DLNA media server and when I did a port scan, port 554 is still shown as open.
*
Hi sEabrEEzE,

Can you elaborate more on what you trying to do by closing the port 554?

And do you mind providing your sysem log and you setting file too.

So that I can pass it to our RD to check based on your environment and your setting.

I will PM you my email address.

Thank you
