Problem: IQIYI cannot load

I replaced the TM Unifi dlink modem (black) with Asus RT-AX55. Everything working fine, except IQIYI on my smart tv. Other apps all works. IQIYI keeps showing connection error.

If I use back dlink router, or connect smart tv to phone and use data, IQIYI will load on tv. Only when I use RTAX55, then IQIYI cannot work.

I don't even have clue where to begin checking and tweaking. Please help. Thank you.

1) I have tried reset RTAX55 to factory setting. It did not help.
2) I have updated router firmware. Did not help.
3) I have updated smart tv firmware and apps. Uninstall and reinstall too. All did not work.

What will work is, connect to dlink/mobile data first, then load IQIYI app, switch back to Asus router, and I can continue watching. The intermediate disconnection will not prevent IQIYI from continuing. But it is impossible to load IQIYI when connected to Asus router.

I have solved my problem. Issue lies with Asus setting. What I did was re-reset for the 3rd or 4th time. The difference is, at the beginning of the quick setup stages, where I key in my unifi id and password and also tick "special requirement from ISP", now there is another box for another line.. if not mistaken is "DHCP on". I followed the setting by a Malaysian youtuber, and maybe it was based on an older firmware, there was no second line included, so I have always omit ticking this second box.

Now I added the second box, so IQIYI works. Can someone help give a simple explanation what is this and why it did not allow IQIYI to work previously? Thanks.

Someone from digi telling me asus rog gt ac5300 not supported & i yet to find it out because I'm still using their suck router. Anyone mind to share screenshot of your isp setting for digi fibre home?

I need help on setting up my Asus router as main device. So, I've subscribe to TIME fibre and they gave me that modem + router device. Before this, I'm using Unifi and I can use my Asus router to connect to my Unifi modem and set the account id and password in my Asus router.

However, TIME gave me this (modem + router) device and I can't use my Asus router anymore which is a waste. How can I use my Asus router as the main device again ? Can I connect my Asus router to the Lan port in the TIME router

Hi again ASUS Msia..my last inquiry was in 2021, now would like to inquire almost the same question again..
Previously using Maxis Fibre, now change tu Unifi.

So I just change my Unifi router to ASUS TUF AX3000, already manage to get connected using default Unifi ISP Profile.
But how do i make LAN4 port available since not using any Unifi IPTV STB? Change the ISP Profile to manual then change the VID number/code?

Hello ASUS Msia..need some help..with the recent changes on Unifi upgrading speed, I'm from 500mbps is now upgraded to 800mbps..
The problem now, I manage to get 800mbps or more with provided Unifi router (D-Link DIR-X3060Z)..but if I use my TUF-AX3000 router, only get bout 500-600mbps only..
Is there any settings I need to change? Thanks in advance..

I bought a TUF-AX6000, and facing some problems, hope to get help.

IPTV
I have setup the WAN for Unifi with the "Special Requirement from ISP" setting and selected Unifi-Home and it has by default bind to LAN4.
I connected my Unifi TV Box (white media box), the date and time can be synced, and I can see the channel information, however there isn't video or audio play.
Is there anything else is not right? My IPTV works well all the time previously with ASUS RT-AC56S.

Also would like to know if this router has the ability to connect the unifi IPTV (white media box) wirelessly? I can't find any info to this router model for this matter.



WIFI 5GHZ
Some of my devices can't find 5GHZ WIFI signal, I have to connect it to the 2.4GHZ WIFI first then only the 5GHZ WIFI will be appear in the list. One of the device is my mobile phone Honor 70 with Wi-Fi 6 ready.

Update:
After off the IPTV for some 4-5 hours, unfortuntely it turns back to the same.
I have run Test Network Connection on the IPTV results as below:
1. Network connection - OK
2. Obtaining IP address - OK
3. Gateway connectivity - OK
4. Central connectivity - OK
5. NTP connectivity - OK
6. DNS connection - X
7. Multicast connectivity - X

Restart the IPTV, no luck still the same.

Then with the IPTV remains on, I switch the WAN and LAN from TUF-AX6000 to RT-AC56S, and the IPTV plays the channels normaly.
and I run the Test Network Connection on the IPTV with the connection to RT-AC56S, results as below:
1. Network connection - OK
2. Obtaining IP address - OK
3. Gateway connectivity - OK
4. Central connectivity - OK
5. NTP connectivity - OK
6. DNS connection - X
7. Multicast connectivity - OK

Hope can get a solution to this.

I have tried all the possible combinations in TUF on the multicast, but still the same.

Below is the IPTV configuration on my RT which works:

Im using rt ax55,
Just upgraded from 300-500mbps.

After reset port
Reset new ppoe password,
Update firmware
And disable QOS (bandwidth limiter)
Only then can get full 500mbps.

Before this qos was active cause I limit only 3 ip address my total speed only 300mbps. After off the QOS then can get full speed on 500 Lan and Wi-Fi range 400-460mbps.

Why tho?

Ok, speeds are still around 300++ with QoS turned off......  I did notice last night, speeds testing on a laptop were slightly faster up to 400++ compared to on phone, but this morning, they are about the same again (300++)

Ping is around 11ms either with LAN or Wifi......

If testing using Game Acceleration --> Internet Speed in router, speed is near to 800mbps....

Just somehow it gives the feeling that something is preventing the speed from going higher than 300++......cant pinpoint what it is....unsure if it is firmware issue?  Maybe reverting back to earlier firmware?  Or should I remove all AiMesh and reconnect them one by one?

Hi, I just changed from Unifi to Astro fibre today. Can I just login to the router & change PPPOE instead of resetting?

So lazy to reconnect all my smart devices, plugs etc.

Actually I tried changing it already, but it’s showing ‘disconnected’ on the router login page.

The router is the RT-AX86S connected to the TUF-AX5400 & RT-AC66U B1 via mesh.

Do I get that from their call centre?

Guys, I have a very bizarre issue. I have two Rt-AX59U on a mesh configuration on Time Internet. Been working well for months. Today, the internet stopped working despite showing the usual white light. I restarted both my modem and router and issue still persists. Have done the following:

1. Checked cabling for modem, router and all in good condition
2. Connected via modem to laptop via ethernet - no issues
3. Have hard reset modem, successfully set-up and internet connection detected, only for it to stop working again, white light still showing as normal
4. I have swapped ethernet cables between modem and router and same issue still persists
5. Both hardware firmware are updated to latest version

What do I do next?
