bro how come m'sia don't have DSL-N14U??

Hi ASUSmy, I just bought a AC68U and update to the latest firmware. Got no issue with internet but fail to setup hypptv. I connect the tv box to port 4, but fail to login with hypptv username and password. The LAN connection on tvbox seems ok, any idea how to solve this?

Did you remember to choose UniFi-Home in LAN>IPTV settings inside the WEBGUI of your AC68U?
Check again.

My AC68U runs UniFi & HyppTV fine the last time I use ASUS official firmware.
*Now using AsusWRT-Merlin.

Hi. I just came across a report that say Maxis FTTH speed was halved when using Asus router. I doubled check with mine and was surprised to find the same thing. I never really had this problem before but now I have confirmed it myself that it is happening.

Will Asus do some test and come back with an answer for this?

Found the culprit. Apparently the Smart QOS crippled half of the available bandwidth when doing speedtest. This didnt happen with previous firmware. I wonder what changed. I disabled it for the time being.

I am subscribing to MAXIS FIBRE Internet with VOIP and Astro IPTV, can someone advise which router can replace the crappy Thompson Router the supplied by MAXIS?

I am planning to get a RT-AC68U, not sure those sold in Lazada.com will work with MAXIS FIBRE?

Once you bought them, just flash to the latest firmware.

Thanks for your reply, my concern is some of those routers selling in lazada are from overseas, chances are they may not have the local firmware with option to select "Special Requirement from ISP" like show in this video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBRbk1FSFj0 ).

If at all this option aren't there, do you know how can I flash to the localized firmware?

No such thing.
I bought my RT-AC68U from the US (through eBay) & the original firmware inside the router work perfectly with UniFi.
I didn't even have to flash to the latest firmware first.
The UniFi mode is already there.

Not using ASUS original firmware anymore.
Now using AsusWRT-Merlin & the UniFi mode is still there.

And guess what? RMerlin (AsusWRT-Merlin creator) lives in Montreal, Canada.

AsusWRT-Merlin 376.48 STABLE Update 3 has been released exclusively for RT-N16, RT-N66U & RT-AC66U.

Tested with latest firmware version 3.0.0.4.376.3637 for RT-N56U.
When I Enable "Smart QoS" then I can not get IPv6 from UniFi.

And latest version firmware is very unstable.

Hope Asus can do better next time.

Thanks for the reply. As mentioned earlier, only using 1 phone line which is currently plugged into the "voip1" port of the TM issued BTU? (the tall white standing device) unit. So i'll simply replace the default router with the RT-N18U, the Hypptv cable connected to the Lan 4 port of the RT-N18U. That should be all on the hardware side right? Software section looks like a no brainier.

By the way I rolled back to version 3.0.0.4.376.1665 due to full of bugs of the latest version.
And QoS also need to disable in order to get IPv6.
