The followings i did:-
1. I try reboot multiple times, no change, 100 mbps (even unplug and replug the wan port)
2. then I bring the router to the modem area and perform another test with another cable, it back to 1gbps
3. then i put the router back to the original place with the existing cable, somehow it works and stay at 1gbps (initially even reboot also just stay at 100mbps).

So i suspect it could be the cable issue.

is ur cable getting bend?

want to ask asus xt8 does this support guest wifi at mesh node?

also, for 5GHZ-1 the channel list only 36, 40, 44,48 dont have 149, 156 ect?

my laptop only can connect to 144 149 channel and above.

my other devices like smartphone can connect to lower channel.

Anyone here have their Asus routers connected to any wireless security cameras in their homes/offices...?

Been reading about some connectivity issues with Eufycams not able to maintain proper connection to an XT8...

5Ghz high band channels are reserved to the 5Ghz-2 on XT8.

Yes, you can create Guest WiFi for 5Ghz-2.

From what I see online, the issue is due to Eufycam does not support AX properly.

Not ASUS fault on this.

Haha... maybe I should rephrase my sentence a bit... not blaming Asus though... Coz I've also read Eufy has problems with certain models from Netgear and Google...

Looks like my Eufy investment will have to put on hold... sad.gif

Many IoT vendors still do not update their drivers to work with WiFi 6 properly. It will take a long long time.

I believe some will not be updated at all.

Have you experienced Tapo having connectivity issues with Wifi 6...?

I was scouting for Tapo cameras as well but it requires power as opposed to Eufy only on battery and solar-powered...

TP-Link sell WiFi 6 routers as well, of course they will make sure their Tapo works with their own router. tongue.gif

You can still use Eufy, just disable WiFi 6 on the 2.4Ghz of your router.

WiFi 6 on 2.4Ghz is pretty much conter-intuitive anyways.

the 5Ghz-2 wifi i using it as dedicated backhaul to node.

if i create guest wifi for 5Ghz-2 will it impact the backhaul performance ??

and also since my laptop cannot support 5ghz-1 36, 40,44, 48 channel.. i tried connecting the laptop to 2.4ghz. however, windows says cant connect to this network.

not sure what when wrong ? my previous ac88u router laptop can connect to 2.4ghz .

If your router is ASUS Malaysia unit & if it's less than 3 years old, you can submit for warranty claim. If you're lucky, they will just replace the AC adaptor on the spot. But this is not a sure promise

If it's an imported unit, just buy another AC adapter on your own

ASUS Malaysia does not entertain imported unit
