Is there any difference between the courses

B. IT(Hons) Software Eng.
and B. Sc.(Hons) Software Eng?

Or at least any difference that employers would notice?

B.IT means Bachelor in Information Technology while
B.Sc simply means Bachelor in Science...
After all it is the same course wut...
Jus the title is different...
Btw...Are the two courses offered in a same uni?

Those letters are just a designation given to the level of study. There isn't a difference in the way the course is taught, nor will your future employer choose one over the other.

BTW, I've only seen this BIT thing in MMU. Sounds like cock if you ask me...

Yeah MMU offers the BIT one, whereas Nilai College offers the BSc. one..

i dont know about the content that they ACTUALLY have, but by right, these two are different by definition.

BSc in software engineering is a general science degree in software engineering, where at the lower part of the study, u will still go through more or less general science related to IT/computer science

BIT in software engineering should be a more focused learning in the specific field.

but that is by term lah. not sure what they ACTUALLY have there. do check on the total amount of credits each qualification require at graduation. might be some difference.

Of course the syllabus is slightly different, every uni also different..

I mean, in an employer's POV. Would one be inferior to the other?

I'm sure the original ones - Computer Science would wat employer would really want...
Do u realise that most local Uni in Malaysia offer Bsc in Computer Science instead of Bsc IT

I guess BSc and BIT are probably pretty much the same, the real difference would be the course content.

Again, not true. I have fellow coursemates working in software houses and MNCs. It all boils down to how well you know your field of study and how you sell yourself.

I might not know from the employers perspective on whether they actually pick out the difference between BSC or BIT
