QUOTE(chengsiong @ Aug 12 2014, 01:19 AM) As far as i know that maxis is using unifi infra, so no port for unifi also meant no port for maxis i think :3 yup, maxis using unify infra, but seems like some people complain bad service...but at my place not sure ok or not...my cousin use inventing klang is ok with maxis... so if possible wanna check it out first before register...or else need to pay penalty for free...i check in maxis website have coverage...unifi website wrote no more coverage for unify at my area...

QUOTE(chengsiong @ Aug 12 2014, 02:53 PM) Hmmmmm.. For Maxis you will end up getting private ip which disable you from opening public port for CCTV or bittorrent purposes :3 And you might need to request for public ip if you need so whats the difference between public and private ip?whats the function of it? don't really know about ip...

QUOTE(chengsiong @ Aug 12 2014, 03:46 PM) If you are not so concern about it then it's ok.. Public ip generally means any ip can connect to your ip directly --Public IP -> Your Router -> Computer Private ip is implemented because lack of ipv4 addresses so it goes like this --Public IP -> ISP -> Your Router -> Computer So you won't be able to host sites or any services such as cctv ooo,i guess not a problem if like that...as normally only use of surfing, watching online movie, dl n upload...maybe iptv as well if take maxis...
