Ive been using unifi for 2 to 3 years.. but for the past 1 year the connection was TERRIBLE.. the speed was ok.. but i Keep getting disconnected for no reason.. cant even play game.. play halfway dc.. sian...  sometimes every half an hour disconnect 1 time.. sometimes 10 mins.. sometimes even 5 min!! Called them many times.. tell me no problem..ask me to reboot modem.. change wifi channel etc.. but still can't solve the problem.. I even changed my modem.. finally i cant take it anymore.. Although i heard that many people complain about maxis.. and alot of people recommend unifi instead of maxis... I registered for maxis on christmas day!! I hope maxis will save me some problems.. Will update when i get it..

Hi all,

After using maxis fibre for a couple of weeks, I'm really glad that I made that switch from unifi.

I'm using wireless connection. Router in the living room @ tv area. Pc in room on level 2.
Connection is stable.. no problem with online gaming. No buffering for video streaming. Torrent speed is good.

However, sometimes but not often, I experienced dropped connection. Not sure if it's the router problem. I'm using tplink 1043nd v2. Anyone knows what the problem? I called maxis and they say no problem on their side.

I am using 1043nd v2.1 but with OpenWrt firmware. Never experience any Wifi drop connection. Maybe you wanna try with openwrt firmware?
