I've been using Unifi 5Mbps for 2 years now and never experienced any breakdown (maybe I'm lucky) and never called them once. Speed is fast even during peak hours and I can get the max speed during torrenting. Recently I was called by TM and agreed to to upgrade to 10Mbps for RM20 extra p.m. Now I'm enjoying the extra speed for torrents. I can vouch for Unifi. If you are brave in spite of all the horror stories, go for Maxis.

QUOTE(hmwong @ Oct 21 2013, 10:58 PM) How long it takes to upgrade to VIP10? It is tied for 2 years, right? Is there any freebies for the new contract? 24 hrs after the sales rep call and you agree to upgrade. Contract is 2 years and price fixed even after contract expire. No freebies.

QUOTE(vanhoe0 @ Nov 30 2013, 11:19 AM) I got many calls from TM from the past few months asking me to upgrade to Unifi. I'm currently using Streamyx 4mb line. I told them I'm fine with the existing plan. The reason is I'm afraid of the download quota that they'll enforce in the next couple years. 60gb a month is just bollocks. Currently in my house that have 4 person living in, the usage is nearly 10gb a day. It's been many years now and still no quota so what makes you think it will be enforced in the next couple of years? This post has been edited by KennyKB: Dec 2 2013, 04:04 PM
