i wanan make some font effect..with using the Fliter~>Distort --> Polar Coordinates..


i hv make a background with text and duplicated another text layer..

i did serveral time..previous day ago..it work out..
but..the distort seem unclick..
i wonder why..it seem blocked....now..

nomatter..how i close the photoshop and restart pc..
the result still the same as..

expert here..help out pls..

usually i can make a simple straight line, but since last week.....it like that

walau ehh..straight line oso cannot..i suggest u reinstall photoshop...still can't work..do sum registry maintanance wif an internet program.

err...how to make a line?...i use line tool,but come out a box like in the picture

u need to resterize ur font layer...

Use the path tool. While dragging it hold down the shift key. It will give you a 100% straight path. Save the path and at the path window click stroke path OR you can use the pencil (block) tool and apply the same method

err ya u have to do tat if u didnt do it yet.
rasterize then only the text become "flat", then only u can apply the filters.

Normally when you try to apply filters on a text layer it will ask you to rasterize the type and it gives you an option whether you want to rasterize it or not. Click yes and it'll become a normal layer and not a text layer anymore. Then you can treat it as a normal layer. Your text cannot be edited once it's in layer form.

it wont work out..

i did restersize the text layer to the flat transpency pattern..
but it still wont allow me to use the Fliter~>stroke..function..

how come?

Hmm.. file format in CMYK, RGB or ...?

in beginning u say distort > polar coordinates
now is filter > stroke

so which one u wan?

btw, at the type layer, right click > rasterize, shud be fine already

rasterlize all your fonts/vertor items 1st, my friend!

And you're drawing boxes cos the line thickness is 1 INCH not 1 pixel.
