hi guys,

i have a problem with my ps3 slim video output because it shows a black screen and no sound
but it was ok the last time i game which is about a couple of days before.

tried reset video output by holding the power button until second beep, nothing happens . no video no audio

then i use stock ps3 slim av cable, it turns out ok and with a message stating the ps3 detects a hdmi output.
choose yes and change to tv hdmi channel but black screen happens again.

hdmi cable is fine . tested it with astro decoder to the same tv and tv hdmi port.

any thoughts?

problem is cant even see anything in hdmi video out . (my tv only supports until 1080i)
weird thing is, i still can make the ps3 shutdown using the controller. is this even possible if the port was fried?

just manage to google the correct keyword. many problems like this happened before and most cases were associated with lightning strike.
ill try the last tips , discharging charge or something like that. if still fails then should try the 5 cable thing. and must buy better surge protector power outlet.
