Hi guys, I bought a HDMI switch to connect the PS3 and my PC to my monitor, but having trouble getting it to work.

This is the switch I bought:

Bought it from a seller in garage sale. Thing is when passing through the switch my monitor does not detect any signal from the PS3. But direct connection from the PS3 to monitor works fine.
Anybody here knows what is the issue here? Or anybody here use the same switch as the one I bought?

Hi friends,I'm having some connection issue with my PS3 recently.each time I try to sign in to my account it will say DNS error and the code 80710102 would appear.Anyway I still can use my PS3 to browse the net but can't sign in to my account.
is there anything I missed out.it was fine before this.BTW mine is connected by wired.

Did anyone hate the "PING" sound and turned it off?

Some said that it is good if you have the first playthrough, and only turn it on when going for trophy hunting playthrough.

Depending on the game to be quite honest. I would turn it off in heavily story-driven games.
But that "ping" is just soooo sweet.

By using this .. Can use any earphone that has 3.5mm jack ?

I prefer xbox360 sound and the way it pop out for the achievrment than ps3
In xbox,by pressing the X logo right sfter getting the achievement/trophy, u can view the achievement u just got while on ps3 not sure., but ps3 trophy is .. I dont feel like interested with it..because it has to load like very long stucked at 3% then move faster..its slower than xbox360 achivement and the way they showed the trophy is not interesting as watching the xbox360 ..ps3 vertical,xbox horizontal

How can i sell dlc to another people if i buy my dlc from ps store?

guys..i just updated my firmware to 4.46 and now it shows error code 8002f1f9 and I can't get into the safe mode.

Tried to go into safe mode but it just looping into updating the firmware and the error code will shown at 61%. help!!!

i just fixed the exact problem error code , either is wireless parts have to repair or hdd .

if its wireless parts, where can i find the replacement?

if slim unit then cannot simply replace due to mac address ; for phat gen still can rescue .

before inspect this problem try to take out hdd do a quick format and re-install firmware to ps3 first .

any effect if we set auto shutdown after 2hours and always happened? ( i always sleep )

we know if the PC the hdd maybe corrupted if always standby/hibernate mode. so is it same like our PS? is it properly quit the game & shutdown? anyone saw when the process happened? i don't think so.

There are 2 options with auto-off function. First is auto-shut down if on XMB screen doing nothing. Second is auto-shut down even game on or video playing if DS3 inactive in time period which set auto-off.

There is possibility corrupt your game save file or video file if auto-shut down middle of game play or video play.

not sure about this, but heard someone mention about the ps3 will done the require procedure for quitting games bfore entering into sleep mode.

My PS3 lately can't read the original blueray games properly. When i insert the disc, it makes some funny noise like tik tik tik tik.......and ends with a loud TAKETAK! No disc icon is display on the TV. What i do next is eject and put in , eject and put in, eject and put in many times and eventually (always successful) will be able to load. how many times before it is successful varies. between twice and 12 times.

why? any ideas how i can resolve this?
