Just bought mine at SenHeng yesterday. it's a little trick purchasing from them. Basically, the price of the iPad mini is exactly the same standard price sold at Machines. Only difference is that they will ask you to purchase together their own extended product warranty which cost around 200++. If you refuse, you may either choose a package of added accessories worth $200 (casing+screen protector). They won't allow you to buy the device only, although they try not to be direct about that.
The only reason why I chose SenHeng is because they have a lot of branches and their stocks are a little more than Machines or any other authorized Apple dealer. Another reason is because only SenHeng/SenQ that offers up to 24 months installment for selected CC (up to 36 month for RHB). Any other place like Machines and Switch stores only offers up to 12 months.
So, if you insist on SenHeng, what you can try is to request add-on for screen protector only. E.g. My iPad mini is 16gb wifi only model. The device price is $999, CC one time charge is $85 plus $20 for processing, and $109 for screen protector add-on package (there's two SP inside). Yes, it's a bloody expensive SP, but compare paying $109 to get an iPad mini for installments with other cash-only or paid-in-full transaction, I think it's a fair deal.

Being an Android user myself, i for one welcome our tablet overlords. I always believed iPads > all android tablets, and that belief is further reinforced now. Unrivaled app selection and awesome battery life. Seriously this thing just wont die.

OOT question, I wonder if iPhone 5 has awesome battery life as well. Can it last through 8am-4pm on 3G (lots of browsing, fb, twitter, gReader, push email, no gaming) without dying? If it can do this, im switching phones.

haha... i just dont get the double job thing. U need to UPLOAD to dropbox...then DOWNLOAD to you device. But actually i already have the file in my hand. I know there are ways to work around ... just ranting why cant they make it straight forward. Lets say this senario... again with the PDF...this time 1GB PDF!!! 
If use Dropbox u need time and 1gb quota to upload to dropbox,
time and another 1gb internet quota to download to your ipad.
This case itunes is better. Even better is direct file transfer like pendrive.
But anyway.. i shud stop ranting ..hahah cukup2 

my phone is android xperia z..love this a lot..
my tablet is ipad2.. its the best tablet ever for my usage

for ease of use like file transfering etc, i use my xperia z...
the ipad, i use for fun stuffs like games, virtual dj etc... (android apps is just not that good, reason why i sold off my galaxy tab last time)
for ipad, i do utilize box.com and dropbox for emergency case... no complain here..as long as i get the job done...
the only thing im not satisfied with ios is itunes.. i cant copy music files from my friends pc. evryting needs to be sync on my pc ..(if there's a workaround, pls teach me)

both got pros n cons for sure.. u just need to decide which one suits u best...

lastly, hows the battery like an ipad mini? on par with ipad2 or better?
im thinking of getting a second set of ipad mini for travel purposes...

LOL I was having the same problem till I figured out how to transfer videos through iTunes,

Previously, I used Leawo iTransfer to transfer videos into my iPad, but the program is not free

The only way is to drag your movie or videos files into your iTune Movies/Videos library. And then click your iPad icon in iTunes, and sync. It will show copying files in the notification tray above.
