Problem:
- Probably had a problematic upbringing, or came from broken family/homes
- The convenient availability of guns (particularly in the States, I saw them out in the open, put in glass display, but nevertheless, in a place like Walmart, only the bullets were kept in locked displays)
- Probably got influenced by violence as portrayed in the media (movies, TV, games, etc) - I did this particular issue before, for a uni assignment
- Life has no/not much value to these cold-blooded/hearted people

Solution:
- Proper education - teach them how to differentiate between reality and fiction, the dangers of such weapon, value of life and respect for others, letting them know that violence is not the way
- Revise the gun laws, especially the easy access to owning a gun

Okay, that's all I can come up with for now... I'm getting very, very sleepy liao... I felt like I just did a draft proposal for my uni paper...

It's okay, people like that... you probably don't have to keep in your life anymore. So many other people out there in this world... who can replace that person as your friend.

don't you feel all the problems that you've mentioned are the cause or effect from another problem ? i think the problem is we have emotion =X
