has anyone here experienced sudden death to their s3? mine happened on wed. It just went off and wouldn't boot. only show boot screen. I try entering recovery mode, could not. But download mode was ok. I sent back to samsung straight. they told me might be software problem. will flash for me again.. but after waiting 45min. they told me they couldn't get to flash it either. Need to change board. So it had to stay over night.

Next day my phone was fixed. they changed new board for free... the same day, my friend s3 also died in a sudden and same symptoms. wouldn't boot...

My friend bought in Aug, mine bought in Sept. I think these batch has problem in eMMC...

I'm pretty sure firmware ELLA did not fix the sudden death issue as I was on that firmware and custom siyah kernel.

Luckily Samsung did not find out about it. So I'm still covered by warranty.
